My Apple Core
Name of Maker: Karen
My Apple Core - I always wanted to try the apple core block, so I made a small quilt. I decided to piece it by hand being I made a small template.
No Name Yet
Name of Maker: Dorothy Baker
No Name Yet - This quilt was a few years in the making. I assembled the quilt and then was unhappy with the border around the center block, so I took it apart, and it sat in my closet for a few months. I finally came up with something that I thought would work and I finally got it finished!
Tommy's Quilt
Name of Maker: Marianne Duvendack
Tommy's Quilt - My son Tommy picked out this pattern and fabrics. He even sewed a few of the blocks together. The quilt is almost entirely squares with a few hst's, and some machine applique work. Very quick to piece together. The buttons are from my Mom's button box.

Family Ties

Family Ties - I made three of these quilts for my husband and sisters-in-law as a memory of their father - who was known for his ties. I deconstructed 130 ties for the quilt tops, and the backs are pieced from his "Saturday" plaid shirts.
Leah's

Coming Home
Name of Maker: susmcc
Coming Home - This quilt was made in response to a challenge at a local quilt show (Patchers and Stitchers Guild Show). The challenge was to make a quilt with a letter in it. I chose M for my last name. Using the watercolor technique and Dily Fronks gate technique I designed and construted this quilt. The ivy vine is three dimensional.
Chained Star
Name of Maker: susmcc
Chained Star - I acquired an antique quilt of my materal great-grandmother. It was in horrible condition. I absolutely love that quilt and wanted to replicate it using a quick peicing, rotary cut method. The result was Chained Stars.
Medallion Erad
Name of Maker: susmcc
Medallion Erad - This quilt was an experiment in design. It is the first quilt that I designed. It is made up of several elements. The most unusal design element is that one of the borders is the reverse of the dark blue fabric. I needed a lighter shade and could not locate it.
Medallion Ca'rlene
Name of Maker: susmcc
Medallion Ca'rlene - This is the second version of Medallion Ca'rlene it has a pieced center whereas the original quilt had an applique center. Both versions are included in the pattern.
Medallion Ca'rlene
Name of Maker: susmcc
Medallion Ca'rlene - I designed this quilt as a border of the month for Forget-Me- Knot Quilt Shoppe in Louisville, KY. I taught the classes. The quilt is rather challenging and was designed to help quilters stretch their skill levels.

ZOOM
Name of Maker: Margi Young
ZOOM - The photo of ZOOM, the goat, was taken by Ann Bertschy. She runs a goat farm for the local 4-H club, this is a small token of appreciation for all that Ann has done, especially for my grand daughter.
Grandma's Flowers
Name of Maker: Terry Knott
Grandma's Flowers - Made for the 2111 guild challenge. The nine patches were sewn by another quilter and although I could cut them, all the blocks had to appear on the front of the quilt. Got inspired to make the bouquet from a flower in the nine patch. Received more inspiration after reading, "The Lace Reader." Grandmother's Flower Garden blocks are 3-D and sewn with wire so they can be shaped, some are trapunto and some just appliqued. Beads added after quilting. Stems and bow are also 3-D. This was a fun project.
