Design Source - Description | Made for the 2111 guild challenge. The nine patches were sewn by another quilter and although I could cut them, all the blocks had to appear on the front of the quilt. Got inspired to make the bouquet from a flower in the nine patch. Received more inspiration after reading, "The Lace Reader." Grandmother's Flower Garden blocks are 3-D and sewn with wire so they can be shaped, some are trapunto and some just appliqued. Beads added after quilting. Stems and bow are also 3-D. This was a fun project. |
