Blue Skies Smilin at Me - Pattern looks like the potholders we used to weave when we were kids - we used small, square looms and colored elastic fabric bands.

Le Piglets - Hand appliqued, with machine embroidered tails and eyes.

Matanzas Memories (for Carolyn) - Large lap quilt made for my niece who had ALS. She and I loved to look for shells on the beach in Matanzas Bay, Florida, hence the use of many shell fabrics and shell-inspired batiks. This was given to her on her birthday in June of 2006. She loved it and used it. She passed away in January, 2007.

Dawson River Ranch

Chantwelle - I made this quilt from the turbans I used when I lost my hair during chemo. The border is fabric I like. Elvis is in tribute to my Mom who helped tremendously even though she herself was not well (and didn't tell anyone!) This was my first official (and finished) chantelle.

I Love A Parade - I made this quilt at Thimbleberries' camp in Hiawassee, Georgia in 2006. My friends, Rita and Laura DeMarco own Log Cabin Patchworks. This was a Christmas present for my sister-in-law.

He is Risen - My first try at Stained-glass technique

Sleighride - I took part of a bigger scene and used it to make a smaller wallhanging than the original pattern which had a village scene

Sunbonnet Thru the Year - I loved doing this hand applique and adding the design elements. Some of the blocks have 3D design elements as well. This was so much fun to do, I remember smiling a lot while I was sewing!

For Ramona and Tweed - A wedding gift - given to them 2 years later, just before their first child was born!

Reflecting on the Past - Centre block is from Elly Sienkiewicz "Baltimore Beauties and Beyond" vol 2. The rest of the quilt is my own design. Made for a national quilt challenge, won 2nd prize.

Past into Present - Made for a National competition. Won 1st Prize. Applique is my own design

Colour Purple - Machine Applique, machine embroidery, machine made lace which was hand dyed. Includes pleated fabric in a butterfly and a heart. Includes many decorative machine stitches.

Lucky Wheel of Fortune - Colors, colors, colors! When I found myself "matching" colors, I changed the parts of the block around with others so it wouldn't match!

Nana's Flower Garden

Faceted Amethysts - I started this quilt in a workshop taught by Charlotte Angotti. Members of a bee made about 20 of the blocks for my exchange blocks.
