Les Fleurs
Name of Maker: Susan Krueger
Les Fleurs - Even though I don't generally do traditional or what I call Fru Fru quilts, I saw this quilt in QNM magazine and it just spoke to me. The quilt published in the magazine did not have the scalloped borders. The ladies at the About.com quilting forum told me it had to have scalloped borders and I took their very correct advice.

LInda Schiffer
Name of Maker: Linda Schiffer
LInda Schiffer - This is an original design -- a block I made for a friend's 50th birthday quilt (made by a sewing group we both belong to). I love turnips (still fresh from the garden soil is best!) so when I was told the theme for her quilt was fresh fruits or vegetables, this was a natural. :)
Interlaced Borders
Name of Maker: Linda Schiffer
Interlaced Borders - This is another quilt I designed for a block of the month at my shop, Seminole Sampler, in Catonsville, MD. This one is twelve different foundation pieced borders and one (outer) appliqued border. I loved the bright colors on black.
Butterfly Garden
Name of Maker: staff of Seminole Sampler
Butterfly Garden - This is an original design I did as another block of the month quilt for my shop, Seminole Sampler, in Catonsville, MD. My parents and my family went on vacation on May to Calloway Gardens in Georgia. Among other beautiful things we saw there, we visited the Butterfly House and I took oodles of pictures. I developed the designs of the butterflies in this quilt very loosely based on the ones I photo'd in Ga. I love this quilt!
Threads of Japan
Name of Maker: Linda Schiffer
Threads of Japan - I designed this quilt as a block of the month for my shop, Seminole Sampler, in Catonsville, Md. It is one of my very most favorite quilts. This version was made by members of our staff -- the winner of the quilt was Patty Stenpeck. My own version (still unfinished) is a bit more scrappy, with beige backgrounds and mostly red and indigo prints.
