Adam and Kate's Wedding Quilt
Name of Maker: Beth
Adam and Kate's Wedding Quilt - I made this quilt for my son's wedding. I have always loved Baltimore quilts, but am not fond of all of that "hand" work. This quilt was made up of pieced blocks to replicate the "traditional" Baltimore Quilts.

Scrappy Christmas Tree - A Christmas wallhanging.
Catnip
Name of Maker: Vicki Fridle
Catnip - Again, I saw this quilt on Simply Quilts. I just loved the whimsey. This quilt was made as close to the pattern as possible. I wanted to prove that I could actually follow a pattern. I gave the quilt to my step-daughter for a Christmas present. She is a cat lover, so I couldn't go wrong.
Happy Jack
Name of Maker: 13roses
Happy Jack - It was coming up to Halloween...and I saw this fabric. Well, you know how it is. One does have to justify those impulse purchases.
Colorful Squares
Name of Maker: Vicki Fridle
Colorful Squares - I saw a Simply Quilts program where this quilt pattern was demonstrated. It "looked" easy to make so I decided to make it using flannel. However, I did not know then that flannel and bias cuts are prone to stretch. Oh how we learn from our mistakes. Mary Ellis (machine quilter in Sherman, Tx) was able to quilt out most of my "stretching errors" and the quilt came out almost square. However, my niece was happy to receive her warm snuggly quilt.
Cows at Murud
Name of Maker: 13roses, Jacqui Sue, Barbara, Julie, Joan, Jackie
Cows at Murud - After seeing an episode of Simply Quilts on how to make a fractured quilt, some of us decided to give it a try. I choose a pen and ink sketch I'd done while in India for my design. Six of us each got a slice to make. We worked without seeing what the other was doing. I then peiced and quilted it. I was totally blown away with what my litte pen sketch grew up to be.
African Tapestry
Name of Maker: Jen Hinwood
African Tapestry - My husband lives in Mozambique and needed some color for his walls - seemed like a good excuse for a quilt. The embellishments are difficult to spot, just like real animals.
Baby No Name
Name of Maker: kimandmush
Baby No Name - I took left over pieces of baby flannels, cut approximately 4" blocks and sewed them together. I met this young woman while in hand therapy who's family was not there for her. She and her husband were expecting their first child and were basically alone. I wanted to show her that people do care and God loves them, so I made her a flannel quilt for her yet to be born baby. I pray they are all healthy and happy.
Om

Om

Name of Maker: 13roses
Om - My husband and his family are from India. They celebrate all our American holidays with decorations, trees etc. They also celebrate the Indian holidays and I wanted my neice and her children to have something special, yet something American to decorate the house during our Indian holidays. This small quilt fit the bill.
Flower Basket wall hanging
Name of Maker: kimandmush
Flower Basket wall hanging - I saw this in one of my quilting magazines and thought it was beautiful I never know what to give my step-mom as a gift. This wall hanging was perfect. Wish I could remember which magazine I got it from. I would like to make it again.
