Painted Boxes - My Stash Box is made from Batik fabrics, then the large boxes were painted with Shiva paint sticks by rubbing an additional "texture" in a different type and color from the batik.

All Dogs Love Dr. Miller - Quilt is large wall hanging made from the blocks of 11 small single breed only quilts from the book, Canine Quilts. The dogs were appliqued in bright fabrics and surronded by sayings from Doggie Diaries by Block Party Studios.

Mrs. Madonia's Been Teaching 30 Years - I made this quilt with bright fabrics and it is machine appliqued with buttons as accents. It was great fun to make.

Best Friends - I saw this wallhanging in a quilt shop in Yuma, AZ during a shop hop and there was no pattern, so I asked them if I could take a picture of it so I could make one, and they said yes. I think it was originally some kind of panel. It reads, "If we live to be 103, best friends we still will be." I made this for my sister, whom I adore! She loves it!

Me and "Pink is the new me" - Here is a picture of me and the quilt they my quilting bee me for the breast cancer I was recently diagnosed with. Thank you ladies!

Pink is the New Me - Some of you may remember me from the other quilt I posted - my Double Wedding Ring - which was for my sister-on-law who had cancer last year. Well, this year I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and now I've been made a quilt. It's been a challenging 3 months, but this quilt goes with me to chemo treatments, and it's nice to know I'm loved!

I Love Flowers - I love flowers and wanted to bring my favorite ones indoors with me with no watering required I embroidered these flower blocks many years ago but couldn’t decide on the setting until the Coral Springs Quilt Guild announced the 2003 Square in a Square Challenge. The challenge inspired me to finish this quilt to send to Nashville for the AQS show.

Lauren's Daisiez - Lauren was a 13 year old who loved pink, purple and blue!

Flamingo Boondoggle - My friend in another state wanted all her friends from other parts of the US to all make Boondoggle Quilts together. She bought rulers and patterns and sent them to each of us. I chose Flamingo embroidery designs and decided I wanted something appropriate to the flamingo's so I had to redraft the pattern. The black diamonds have the hologram dots that really makes the quilt sparkle.

Hawaiian Goes Traditional - I wanted the old looking Hawaiian quilt design so I took a flower from an Elizabeth Root book and designed my own Hawaiian Quilt. After getting the quilt completely basted I noticed it had a perfect spot between the outside border and the center for a feather. Since I am not Hawaiian and I thought it would be a fun way to turn this traditional Hawaiian into something different. I drew out a feather design to fit in the space and did the machine method of adding the trapunto. So many things happened to this poor quilt that I wasn't sure if it was ever going to make it or not, but it did and I love it.

Noah's Quilt - Using the XBlock ruler and a rainbow of marbled fabrics, this quilt is a beautiful optical illussion. I liked it so much I made 2!

Gathering of Angels - I changed Maggie Walkers colors to something I considered more old world looking. I used fusible applique so I had to reverse every piece on her patterns. I didn this in my dads hospital room when he first had his stroke. Now when I look at this quilt I'm reminded of him and I love it.

Four fat cats - Made in a fun pink and lilac colourway.

Waiting for My Kids in My Flower Garden - Quilt top hand pieced waiting for my children during their many activities. It’s my first hand pieced quilt and I loved how the time would fly by while I was sewing. I embroidered many bugs - flying and hiding. This quilt will always remind me of their carefree childhood years. Binding is fuzzy yarn with beads attached. Back is one big pieced hexagon flower.

Springsteen T-Shirt Quilt - Not only am I a quilter, I am also a big Bruce Springsteen fan. I made this quilt out of about 60 Springsteen t-shirts for my concert buddy, Lisa on her 40th birthday. Many of the shirts were purchased at shows we went to together. There are shirts on both the back and the front!

Cosmic Energy - Swirling design in reds, oranges and black; quilt "as you go" technique with additional quilting in variegated thread and black pearl cotton bobbin work.
