QUILTS MADE FOR IRAQ SOLDIERS - THIS QUILT WAS PUT TOGETHER WITH 13 DIFFERENT FABRICS CHOSEN FOR OUR SOLDIERS IN IRAQ. I HAD A CUSTOMER COME STATING HER BROTHER IN IRAQ WANTED A QUILT BECAUSE THEIRS WERE VERY OLD AND THEY HAD TO SHARE MOST OF THE TIME. SO I DECIDED TO MAKE IT A MISSION AND BEGIN TO GET FELLOW QUILTERS TOGETHER TO MAKE QUILTS FOR THE SOLDIERS. I AM TRYING TO FIND THOSE THAT NEED THEM BUT WILL SEND SO HOPEFULLY ANYONE WHO NEEDS THEM WILL GET ONE. I AM HOPING THE SHOP WILL BE ABLE TO SEND AT LEAST 50 QUILTS SO AM REALLY PUSHING THIS PROJECT. JUST STARTED LAST WEEK AND ALREADY HAVE FOUR SO MAYBE I WILL MEET MY GOALS!!!!
Bluebonnets & Daffodils - I started this in 2004 and was half done when I picked it up earlier this year, finished it and had it quilted. It's an odd size.. it just kept growing!
Georgetown T-Shirt Quilt - The young lady was due to graduate from Georgetown U this May, so her Mom had me make a t-shirt quilt with all her GU shirts.
Buzzing Bugs at Pooh's Corner - Loved the Pooh fabric and wanted to make a quilt with it.
P.S. I know the picture is bad... I think my husband deleted the others. :(
One Day a Small Tornado - Original photos of a tornado. Some are cut up and used in a windmill design. Flotsam of fabric scraps and thread applied. Black/white cloud fabric. Blue and green borders.
Finally, The End of the Trail - The pattern combined a story of a woman heading west on the Oregon trail with the instructions -- adding a little whimsy to the effort.
Unnamed - I made this quilt for the Longmont Humane Society "Animal Affair" fundraising event. It was a Silent Auction item. High bid for it was $50. I did get permission to use the pattern from Laurel Burch.
Civil War Notes to Home - Made from a 3 yd scrap bag from LQS. Used Civil War repoduction fabrics since it was being made for a cousin whose husband is a Civil War history lover.
Sharon's Family - Throw for a cousin that allowed a heart to represent each member (children and grandchildren) of her family. Colors choosen for a country feel and allow hearts to shine.
