A Bit of Spring Color for my sister
Name of Maker: Diana Williams
A Bit of Spring Color for my sister - Radiant star blocks (19") joined to make queen coverlet. Dot-to-dot machine quilting in white areas. After a long, cold winter, Spring couldn't come fast enough on the Maine coast. I decided that some Spring color would be good for the soul! My sister loved the quilt, and I decided to give it to her as a birthday present. Stars are machine pieced with 2 1/2" 45 degree diamonds from a Bali jelly roll.

17-Year Quilt
Name of Maker: Wanda Harrison
17-Year Quilt - I started this quilt in the Fall of 1987 when I was on medical leave, and stored it away when I went back to work. In 2004, I started quilting classes at Aunt Bee's Quilting and decided to finish this quilt. In my mind, it was half-finished and so ugly (I don't know why!). When I pulled it out of storage, I was amazed! It was beautiful and completely done except for quilting & binding. I had it quilted, then added the binding, and I am so happy with it. This was my very first quilt and it took 17 years from start to finish!
Sea Breeze

Sea Breeze - I saw this star block and wanted to build off that and I wanted a lot of negative space surrounding them to quilt in.

Patisserie Miniature - Our guild was doing the Jelly Roll Race and also had a miniature quilt challenge so I combined the two, making a miniature jelly roll race/lasagna quilt. For my miniature, I cut (40) 3/4-inch x 8-1/2 inch strips, added a border and brought the backing to the front for a tiny binding.
