Springtime in the Mohave - Multiple blocks of varying sizes, bordered and an area to embroider with numerus borders, one of flying geese. Wonderful design which can be varied numerous ways for any theme.

Journey to Costa Rica Quilt - Quilt was made to raise funds for a mission trip to Costa Rica. This was an answer to prayers. Close to $3,000 was raised.

Multicultural and Character Education Quilt - Students (K-4), staff, principals, & custodians traced their hands or drew hearts on fusible web. Teachers, aides, and stay at home mothers helped to cut out all the appliques once they were fused onto the felt. The appliques were first fused and then sewn to each orange quilt block. 4th grade students made the patterns for the center medallion by tracing their arms and drawing a globe. All sewing and quilting was completed by the school counselor. The quilt hangs in the school cafeteria to remind students daily of the principles of character education and multiculturalism.

"SKINZ" - This quilt makes use of the "Turning Twenty" quilt block. It has been done using various animal print fabrics. I was fortunate enough to be in Kansas City area attending MQS this year and while there found the animal panels at a little fabric store in Overland Park, Ks. I had already put the top together, but when I arrived home I took it apart in the center and placed the panels. They were a perfect marriage for the quilt. Oh, by the way, my Mom and Dad absolutely love it.

Alycia's Quilt - I made this quilt for our grand niece Alycia's. Bright and cheerful is what they wanted. This quilts fits that description.

Carpenter Star - Sandy taught this class at local Bernina Dealer. I longarm quilted it.

The Soldier's Quilt - The backing of the quilt is twill and represents the American Flag.

Block of the Month for May - Here is my Block of the month for May. It's all needle turned appliqué and finally finished. I hope that I finish the June and July blocks, but I have to wait until I'm back from Quilt camp at Camp Watch a Patcher and my family vacation the following two weeks. My fingers need the break from hand appliquéing, but I'll be ready to get the next blocks finished as soon as I'm back. What fun!

Block of the Month for March and April - Here are two more blocks designed by Sue Garman. I did these with needle turn appliqué. What fun, but what a lot of work. I really enjoy seeing how others have done these same blocks and particularly enjoy seeing their helpful hints and encouragement. What fun!

January and February Block of the Months - Here are my first attempt to do the block of the month project. I used needle turned appliqué and started this in the middle of June. I hope to catch up with the blocks by August since I'm not working this summer. What fun, but what a lot of work!

Happy Turtles - I found this little quilt on the internet. It was fun, easy and doable in a day. I also added a little thread art.

Third Grade Self Portraits - Third graders watercolor portraits were scanned and printed using ink jet printer. Batik fabrics used to set blocks. Machine quilted with HQ16.

Sixth Grade Stars - The sixth graders used construction paper to make patterns for these blocks. They could draw their own stars or use traditional star blocks. The photos were transfered by ink jet printer and appliqued to each block. Machine quilted using HQ 16.

Rainforest Windows - Second Graders drew pictures of Rainforest animals on fabric using oil pastels. Blocks were set in attic windows pattern. Machine quilted on HQ 16.

Kindergarten Family Portraits - Family portraits made by kindergarten children using fabric markers and fusible fabric applique. Crazy patch borders added. Class photo scanned and printed.
