Pennsylvania Dutchess - I love STARS! I discovered early on in quilting that I needed to use solid color fabrics to show off my hand quilting stitches, and I learned that black shows off colors and makes the glow. A little applique added to a pieced quilt makes it all come together. This quilt was my first really big winner in competition. It is retired now, and at 108" squares, it is too big to be a regular part of my trunk show, so it lives at home mostly. I will sometimes take it with me when I drive to my teaching/lecture bookings.

Three Sisters - Entirely paper pieced. First time I used that method. The pattern called for a winter scene, and the mountains were whilte, grey, and purple. I decided to do a summer scene, since I am not a skier, but love hiking. The mini-quilts are done in scraps from other quilts I have made, and are to remind us of the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, which I attended this summer for the first time. WOW!

My First Art Quilt - My first art quilt. I took four fabrics for the back ground, ripped them into strips and then weaved them back together to complete the background. I used fusing techniques for the leaves, but found that the quilting was difficult through the fusible material. It was a fun first art quilt!
