Sophia{1000leaves} - this quilt pattern I revised and made it my own .It took me a year+ ,some of the blocks have 20+ hours in them there,560+stuffed red berries,1600 little leaves,8 humming birds,36, 9 inch blocks,4 ,18 inch bird blocks, to many to count stuffed flowers,acorns,grapes, one spider,one lady bug, It belongs to Sophia my great grand granddaughter who loved the red berries from the first. and so many booboos that I cant count and Bonnie made invisible.

Maddies Birthday Quilt - This is the quilt I made for my older granddaughter Maddie's fourth birthday. I wanted something that coordinated with her drapes which were bold colored large dots set in rows. The decorator had made a pillow out of that fabric in the shape of a heart so I decided to use the dye cut hearts I had purchased years ago and never used. In order to get enough hearts in some of the colors I had to use my stash or fat quarters to fill in. the sashing and borders were purchased fabric for this quilt. This phot was taken a year later as I forgot to take a photo before giving it to her.

Out On A Limb - Inspired by the stunning hand dyed fabrics of Elin Noble and the concept of implying transparencies taught by color guru Christine Barnes. The final transparent treatment is the gold tree silhouette done with a diluted Lumiere paint.
The Rest Stop

The Rest Stop - Almost 200 fused, raw edge applique pieces were used to create this scene of a pair of Western bluebirds taking a break from their daily agenda. The background scenery was created with Tsukineko inks on one piece of fabric. Tsukineko inks, Prismacolor pencils and Micron pens were used for the details.

Out In The Open - Rarely are we able to get a glimpse of the elusive Himalayan Snow Leopard. This one holds still just long enough to captivate us with his penetrating blue eyes. This is a whole cloth quilt (aside from the borders) created in a class with Patt Blair using Tsukineko inks.
