kimmquilt Maddies Birthday Quilt - This is the quilt I made for my older granddaughter Maddie's fourth birthday. I wanted something that coordinated with her drapes which were bold colored large dots set in rows. The decorator had made a pillow out of that fabric in the shape of a heart so I decided to use the dye cut hearts I had purchased years ago and never used. In order to get enough hearts in some of the colors I had to use my stash or fat quarters to fill in. the sashing and borders were purchased fabric for this quilt. This phot was taken a year later as I forgot to take a photo before giving it to her.
