Jessica's Secret Garden - This was a quilt made for my grand-daughter's 8th birthday. The longarm quilting featured flowers and leaves, so I named it Jessica's secret garden. She loves it.
Crazy Quilted Christmas Sock - A Crazy Quilted Stocking for Aurora's first Christmas. It took hours and hours to do, and this was my first crazy quilted piece.
Heavenly Angels - The story goes: a customer brought me 2 1/4 yds. of the angel fabric and asked me to make a King Size (104" X 104") quilt for her son for Christmas. She also did not want the angel fabric cut up too much. She wanted it showcased. I struggled and struggled with how to create such a large quilt with so little fabric. Then I found the fabric that made me think of clouds and started designing. I finally came up with the large stained glass window you see here. I quilted it with a feather design that looked like angel wings.
Sawtooth Chain Mystery Quilt - This was a mystery quilt that required monthly visits to a local quilt store, High Sierra, in Cameron Park, CA. I had no idea how it would look when I picked the fabrics. I wanted shades of green to go with my leather couch so it turned into a very generously sized lap quilt. I use it all the time and just love it.
Gator Nation - A Christmas present for a Univ of Florida Gators fan who is currently in the hospital. This quilt bleeds orange and blue. Backed with Gator fleece and batted with Green Dream batting made from recycled water bottles.
At Home and Away - This quilt started out as a "seventh year sampler" to mark seven years of quilting after an early retirement due to illness. It grew into a quiilt with traditional blocks marking activities both home and away.
Folk Art Finery - I followed the pattern pretty closely, using a black background instead of neutrals and yo yos in place of appliqued circles on the outside ribbon sashing. Machine buttunhole stitch applique, freezer paper method. Inner sashing was paper pieced.
Where's the Z? - Purchased ABC Panel and cut into blocks. Each block different size, therefore, whacky setting required. This quilt is made for neice, Kaitlin.
Purple Pride and Purple Posies - These two quilts are sisters. Appliques, and borders for Purple Posies were cut from leftover strips sets from Purple Pride. These quilts will be patterned in my new book, "Innovations and Renovations: String Quilts" to be released this coming fall by Good Books, Inc.
