Reiki quilt - I've made this quilt for my daughter Nikita.

Mini Tree - Applique'd Christmas tree. I modified some clip art I found for the tree. Added a gold star button at the top, and pieced the border. The cornerstones are part of the same fabric as the tree, which I fussy cut. Will hang on a small wire hanger that has a star on it.

Sunday in the Park with George - I made this miniature quilt following a workshop in 2003 by George Siciliano called "Size Really Does Matter." Using foundation piecing, the quilt contains 28 blocks with 38 pieces per block for a grand total of 1, 064 pieces. After I finished the center four blocks, I thought I would quit; did a few more, then seriously thought about quitting after 16 blocks. But why quit when I was so close to finishing? And when I finally finished, the sense of accomplishment was amazing. It has one small flaw but I seem to be the only one who sees it. The best tip I learned was to use double sided tape to match seams.

Winter Respite - This started out as a Mile-A-Minute Scrap Quilt. Then one day I was recuperating from a cold and turned on Alex Anderson's, Simply Quilts. I don't remember the guest, but she had a super easy way of producing the jaguard design. I tried it out with my scrap blocks and loved the effect. So much of my quilting involves serendipitous moments when an unexpected encounter leads me in a new and wonderful direction. This quilt may be the beginning of my love for checks and stripes in borders and little strips of color that say, "hello, look at me."

The Blue Chili #1 - This quilt was donated to the NQA Little Quilt Auction 2006.

Pot of Zinnias - This quilt was made after a conversation with my Aunt Marie who is a artist. She said "You don't have to replicate everything as you see it."

Poppies - This quilt is made completely fused - a technique I learned from Melody Johnson. The quitlint is done by machine.

Amish Bling - The pattern appeared in a magazine in 1982. Instead of velvet and ribbon, I used velveteen and sateen. It remained a UFO until 2007 when I realized I could conquer the bias edges. Voila! Amish Bling.

At The Grange - A friend took a photo of me and my horse Irish at a horse show, and I used reverse applique to make this quilt.

Celtic Beauty - I used eQ5 to design this quilt. NY Beauty is one of my favorite blocks.

Starburst

Bill's "Catch of the day" - This piece is made from a photo. It is fused applique, hand painted and lightly quilted. I made it for Bill's surprise birthday party, yes-he was surprised and has this hanging in his den.

Christmas Welcome - I made this quilt ten years ago for my wife as a Christmas present. It was my first ribbon at a quilt show. The judge's comment was so special I will always remember it, "I would love to have this quilt in my house at Christmas!" I thought I would share it this Holiday season.

Amanda's 10th Birthday Quilt - An easy block pattern that was perfect for embroidered blocks. All embroidery designs are from Embroidery Library Inc. Made for my granddaughter Amanda's 10th birthday.

Growth Over Time - I had done the 'nine patch' of Linda Franz' hand pieced diamonds and then I just kept making up different borders to go around it. It kept growing until it finally fit our queen sized bed nicely, finishing at 89" x 98".
