Eileen's treasure
Name of Maker: Adele Dunnigan
Eileen's treasure - I thought it would be nice to get rid of scraps of fabric. This is the perfect pattern with lots of 2 inch squares of any color or type. Eileen is in a nursing home. I thought this would be a cheerful addition to her room. Did I get rid of excess fabrics -- Yes, but not nearly enough.
Starburst
Name of Maker: Adele Dunnigan
Starburst - I attended a Super Seminar last year. When I came home I looked at the 24 block of the month squares that were orphaned in my sewing room. They were all on a star theme. Male Pied Hornbill
Name of Maker: Anne Maundrell
Male Pied Hornbill - The pied hornbill is quite a common bird where we live, but very distinctive with its large toucan like casque. The design is constructed using invisible machine applique with batik fabrics on a printed ombre fade background and quilted with a leaf pattern in two different shades of variegated cotton thread and a random pattern in the border.
