We all have funny relatives, some more than others - In my collection of old family prints, I found some comical ones. I thought they told the story of how in the old days they made their own fun. I printed them on fabric and pieced them in this quilt

Chinese Hexagons - I digitized and machine embroidered the blocks in this quilt using designs published in 1942. The setting was inspired by a small quilt made by Kitty Pippen. I used a quilting design also by Kitty.

Reaching for the Stars - This quilt was designed and created for our school's Artrageous Art Auction sponsored by the PTA. The quilt has the hands of 144, 6th grade students, each signed by the student, appliqued by machine and the star in the center contains the signatures of our Principal & Assistant Principals. Our school them for this year was Shining Stars. I choose the black fabric with bright colored hands to model the work of some Amish made quilts.

not named - I learned to make this with doubled sided pre-quilted fabric from Sue Hausman and her TV guest Jennifer Lokey. The scalloped edge was the hardest thing to do. But this would be a quick easy gift for anyone to make. I could not locate anything about who designed the quilt or who to give credit to. I have mnade several as gifts.

Growth (I guess) - I made this quillow as a door prize to be awarded at my nephews school for the developmentally challenged. THey believe in the growth of the child. All the leaves of the trees (the fabric pattern) are facing the same way, except for one. The center design is surrounded by various blocks depicting the family, children, growth and cherishing what we have.

Indian Wedding Ring - This is the GNQG's '09 donation quilt. This beautiful quilt will be auctioned off September at the GNQG's Show & Auction

Black Mountains - Fused and machine blanket-stitched delectible mountain blocks, resized smaller than the original; and constructed from cotton background with silk appliques.

Tic Tac Toe 1 - Free-cut blocks featuring decorative stitches from the sewing machine on the tic-tac-toe lines.

My Tee Shirt Quilt - My own design for an appliqued tee-shirt quilt, featuring free-cut shirt designs which stay soft and flexible without stretching on the quilt surface. I teach this technique.
