Davian's Quilt - The original quilt pattern had fabrics in pastel colors, which is right in my color comfort zone. Davian's mommy asked for bright colors, so I picked the bright background and then used softer hand-dyed fabrics for the applique. I didn't really like it until it was all sewn together with the yellow sashing.

For the Love of Baskets - Fabric exchange for 1-1/2 years (pairs 1 light 1dark to stay together to make block. 13 people participated so made 13 different colored blocks each month. Each person made a quilt from her baskets and we showed them t our quilt show. Each quilt was unique. It was so much fun!

Himilayan Beauty

Himilayan Beauty - Last year's round robin from the Fiber Divas (my art quilt group) was inspired by photos we each selected for inspiration. We each then created our interpretations of each photo. This piece was inspired by a photo taken by Anita Furbush of Holderness, NH while she was hiking in the Himilayas. I made all entries for the challenge with my felting machine (my challenge!). Piece was created on a foundation of Timtex, with wool fabric, wool felt, Wool roving, soy silk, silk fiber, and embroidery thread stitiching.

Chipmunk - This is the result of a round robin challenge my art quilt group created (these are annual events)Each member came up with a subject... in this case, "In the Woods"..... and we each created quilted books from the pages made by each member.This was the first project made on my new felting machine. Made with wool felt, wool roving, soy silk and embellished with rayon stitching. Approx. 5" X 5"

I took Cindy Brick's Hanky Panky Handkerchief class and designed this quilt using Lorine's hankies, gloves, jewelry, charms, and favorite color.

An Oriental in memory of Linda - Sampler Quilt made from (mostly) Oriental themed fabrics. My late friend, Linda, and I started this project together. In fact, she helped me pick out the fabrics. She died before either of us finished, but I have great memories of quilting together.
