Orca's away
Name of Maker: Cheryl
Orca's away - This quilt is a graduation present for my son who wants to be a marine biologist. I used Ricky's convergence method and appliqued Orca whales designed by Lisa Moore. It is machine quilted using metallic threads to give it a water current effect.
Sensational Seasons
Name of Maker: Cindy Watkins
Sensational Seasons - In the frantic & erratic rhythms of my life I often look to the steady heart beat rhythm of Mother Earth. It is the trees that shout the loudest to get my attention to the eternal rhythms of this planet. Blossoms of spring, leafy shades of summer, the bountiful harvest of Autumn and the return of the seeds to the Earth in winter, that wait quietly for the return of spring. Around them flit the Dragonfly and butterfly, both creatures of constant rhythm.
Lorraine's Rhapsody
Name of Maker: Cher Olsson
Lorraine's Rhapsody - We traded. Lorraine, moving and going to be unable to sew for awhile, gave me her stash and in return I was to make her a quilt. The center fabric is a Robert Kaufman and she wanted it used in the quilt somehow. I wanted to try one of Ricky's rhapsody quilts so went from there. Since she is currently working in Kuwait, I was trying to give the quilt a middle eastern feel. I just finished and the quilt will be going to Kuwait next week. After the quilt's journey to it's new home, we entered it in the Dubai quilt show where it won first place in the bed quilts and Best of Show 2010.

Traven's Quilt
Name of Maker: wyquiltr
Traven's Quilt - This quilt was made with a panel -- that is where I got the puppies. I decided because of the primary colors in the quilt to make triangles and pinwheels to go around the blocks from the panel. I think it turned out very well. I don't know what condition the quilt is in now -- as I haven't seen it for some time -- and little boys do manage to "drag them around" alot. I really enjoyed making this as a baby gift for a dear friend. The size is approximate, since I didn't measure it and write down the size before I gave the gift.

Missed Perception
Name of Maker: Janet Hartje
Missed Perception - This quilt was made to have a little fun with myself. I’ve had to stop dyeing my hair this year and wasn’t quite ready for the change. While it may not be quite as dramatic as my depiction this is how it feels to me. Making this quilt gave me a chance to laugh at myself. The image of myself in the mirror is from a photo taken in the eighties with the big hair and shoulder pads. The hair has wool roving stitched with about five different threads. The jacket was made with my embellisher.
