Jesse's Dogs - There is just to much to say.. My aunt passed away her daughter gave me the dog prints.. I wanted to do something with them to remember her by this is that result

zig zag log cabin - I made my log cabin bloks and couldn't figure out how I wanted it laid out , this is the result. I gave it to a friend to quilt.

flower garden - This was made using strips. I don't know who the original quilt came from.. the patern was free in the quilt book. really enjjoyed doing it.

Toris Heart - The pattern was free in the Quilters World , I made it larger than a baby quilt. It fits A twin bed

Memory Quilt - This Quilt I designed for my Children for Christmas one year since then I have had several orders. I love making them. This was done for Martha Nelson for her son..

Bom Bom Boots - I have always wanted to make a pair of huge, bodacious cowboy (cowgirl?) boots. I came across a book called " Stitching in Metal" which inspired me to go out and buy copper sheeting. I then hammered, molded, burned, stitched the copper for the tips of the boots, the bootstraps, the spurs, etc. The other materials are silk, velvet, and ultrasuede. The finished size is 50 by 50 inches. All my quilts are outrageous but this one tops the list and it was also the most fun to make.

Recanati quilt - I wanted to make a quilt that created the feeling of a wedding dress. I used Dupioni silk and hand-quilted it. This one took me four months.

Scrap log cabin - I made this quilt by quilt as you go to be an everyday quilt for the bed as my husband and dog are just grubs. i used 2.5 in strips and divided them all into dark and light. If you look carefully, you will see i have actually put one block wrong, which I really didn't notice until I saw the photograph. My husband says he likes the boo-boo as it makes it more homey. I probably will fix it next time I repair it!!!

Sunflower - I made this quilt after watching a rerun of simply quilts. I put together colour groups of charms, then cut them and appliqued onto a pieced background. the quilting was done on my longarm - stippling on the background and texture patterns on the petals and leaves in colours to match the parts.

Mystery Quilt - This quilt has had a lot of use. It was reapaired early this year after some pretty tough punishment from my husband and dog. I know that the teacher saw this pattern in a magazine, but I am unaware of which one or who designed it. If you know - tell me! This was one of my earliest long arm quilting forays and although the pantograph is done well, it has space between the rows. i have improved a lot since then

Blue Ensign - I made this quilt after the bushfires went through my town earlier this year. People were hanging flags on their properties as a statement of survival and in support of the country fire brigade. the quilt was put together in a day and quilted in two, and I am very proud of my contribution to national pride.

Mouse's picnic - This small baby quilt was made for a friend's little girl. The applique, although I did it by fusible and machine was exteremely complicated and took me two years to finally get finished. It was actually quite hard to give away as I really loved the design (which of course was why I chose it) The quilt was backed with polar fleece and tied with ribbons and a ruffle so it wouls be very cosy and lovable for sophie.

Autumn Leaves - This quilt is a design which I just thought of after purchasing the fabric. The one with the red flowers was the main inspiration. the theme is oak leaves, so I appliqued the large leaves in alternating fabrics in the centre. There are also some smaller appliqued leaves scattered and a scalloped piece in the outer border. The quilting was done in the ditch on my home machine and there is some freehand long arm stippling in the large open areas.

yellow quilt - This yellow Quilt was made From a Book Called Aunt Martha's Quilts. I believe it cost around 50 cents when it sold.. It was the first quilt I made and the second one that I had quilted.

Autumn Roses - This quilt I made from scraps in Autumn colours to match a small piece of brown roses fabric which I purchased. It is quilted in the ditch and also has some long arm quilting of a freehand leaf in an autumn variegated thread in the red sashing. In the bottom corner is a matching footstool I also made.

Xmas mariner"s compass - I originally made this for christmas 2008, but was noy happy with the metallic thread in the quilting, so I have unpicked, rebacked and requilted it for this year. The main fabric is a shiny gold chrismas fabric which I had been saving because I loved it (as we do) and finally decided to use in this pattern when I saw brenda henning on TV.

Petite Baskets - Foundation pieced; machine quilted.

Poriot - Quilt for the 2009 Hoffman Challenge. It was fun but challenging. The biggest challenges were 1. figuring out what to do with the fabric since I don't normally work with that style and 2. working within a deadline. I had to pull a late night about 3 days before the deadline to get the sleeve and label on so I could overnight on time.
