Design Source - Description | I have always wanted to make a pair of huge, bodacious cowboy (cowgirl?) boots. I came across a book called " Stitching in Metal" which inspired me to go out and buy copper sheeting. I then hammered, molded, burned, stitched the copper for the tips of the boots, the bootstraps, the spurs, etc. The other materials are silk, velvet, and ultrasuede. The finished size is 50 by 50 inches. All my quilts are outrageous but this one tops the list and it was also the most fun to make. |
