Cats All Around
Name of Maker: Stephanie Swensson
Cats All Around - The challenge was to use up 2" strips from our black, white and red stash, from a previous project. I hadn't done the previous project, but I had a lot of these colors because I like Freddy Moran's stuff. I made the quilt for a neighbor who cared for my cat while I was in the hospital.

Pocketbook for Dawn
Name of Maker: DryHillQuilter
Pocketbook for Dawn - I have made several of the Bow Tucks and Mini Bow Tucks bag and really like them. This one I made from Home Dec. fabrics and am pleased with the results. I also did a bit more quilting on this one.
BYOB table runner and wine carrier
Name of Maker: Jacquelyn Morris-Smith
BYOB table runner and wine carrier - I needed to take a gift when I visited my daughter this year. Her home is very contemporary and she has her kitchen/dining area decorated in 'wine' motif. So I found this lovely panel in my favorite quilt shop Hearts and Hands Quilts in Green Valley, AZ. I decided to make the pattern myself, and it turned out great. The BYOB carrier has Timtex stabilizer which kept the sides and the bottom firm for carrying a bottle. I used coordinating fabric for the back of the table runner.

The Wedding Quilt - I made this quilt for my daughter and son in law for their wedding.

Name of Maker: djane
Welcome - I made this wall hanging for my sister and her family as a house warming gift when they moved into their new home. It was the first project I have done free motion quilting on.

A-Round With My Friends
Name of Maker: bbquiltmaker
A-Round With My Friends - I challenged two quilting friends to do a round robin and this was the result. I spent 7 years on it, hand applique'd and hand quilted.
Living in the Past
Name of Maker: bbquiltmaker
Living in the Past - The simplicity of the old-time style quilt called out to me. I save my hand quilting for my favorite quilts and this one certainly qualified. Too bad I chose such busy prints for the large solid blocks--the feathered wreaths I hand quilted hardly show at all.
Bountiful Blocks
Name of Maker: bbquiltmaker
Bountiful Blocks - Made to hang in my living room, I used a lot of red, blue and gold from an oriental print I expected to use for the border. That just didn't work so I followed the pattern as published--the oriental print appears in the label on the back.
Country Barns Around the Year
Name of Maker: JudithAnne Quilts
Country Barns Around the Year - I spent many happy days in the barn on my grandparents farm in River Styx, Ohio. Fell in love with this 2003 calendar quilt from Piecemakers. It took me five years to make the quilt. The barns are well traveled, across the USA twice, Hawaii, Canadian Maritimes and many places inbetween. I batted the quilt at Bend on a picnic table. Bad move. Not flat! I used ultra suede for many of the animals and lots of silk ribbon, special threads and beads. When my daughter saw the little pink ultra suede pigs she fell in love with the quilt and asked if she could have it. Well, maybe some day.

A-Symetrical Sixpence
Name of Maker: bbquiltmaker
A-Symetrical Sixpence - Blocks were made in a block swap with 13 women. I spent many hours planning the design on the wall and rearranging until I was happy.
Monkey quilt
Name of Maker: LauraBC
Monkey quilt - I wanted to do a quilt with the Five LIttle Monkeys poem on it and came up with this design. It was given to my daughter's friend for her first baby. Thanks for the help from the forum here for figuring out how to do the border embroidery!
Sleeping under the Stars
Name of Maker: LauraBC
Sleeping under the Stars - I wanted a navy and orange quilt for our bedroom, and after seeing Alex Anderson's method for Lemoyne stars new I wanted to try it out. The design is not what I originally had intended, as I made the Lemoyne blocks 12" and accidentally made the friendship star blocks 9", so I had to do some revamping. It's done with a wool batting, which was a first for me and it was wonderful to work with and is very lightweight and warm.
Lennie
Name of Maker: LauraBC
Lennie - My son's yellow lab passed away in November from osteosarcoma. My daughter had taken a wonderful picture of him two years ago and I always wanted to try my hand at an art quilt. After Lennie died, I started to work on the quilt and gave it to my son for Christmas. It's my first attempt at an art quilt.

Name of Maker: ncquilter1954
Yellow Stack and Whack - This quilt top was made on a retreat. We had a class on Stack and Whack with the Piedmont Quilters Guild.
