Dragon in Fantasy - 2010 Home Machine Quilting Show annual Design Challenge using fabrics supplied by Riley Blake Designs, with the theme "Every Quilt Has a Story." Quilt was awarded 3rd Place, and was auctioned for PJ's Forgotten Children charity, raising $875.

Denim Tsunami - Not your ordinary denim quilt, this was made using old black denims and khaki pants! Pattern is available on my website: www.quiltscapesquilting.com/patterns.php

A Carpenter's Star for Evan - Made for my husband Evan by myself and our triplet 19-year-old daughters. He loves the clean lines, the color, the name of it "Carpenter's" Star (he is a Finish Carpenter by trade), and especially the fact that it was made just for him by all four of his girls!

Scrappy Stars - Paper pieced traditional design. This quilt was a personal challenge learning to work with many colors and precise piecing. Thank you Sue for helping me meet this challenge. Thank you Linda for your beautiful quilting designs.

Woolie Flowers - Wool basket and flowers on a pretty pieced background framed by picot points and a curvy border.

After Pat Holly - I made this quilt after watching the Pat Holly show on this site. It is my own design, but appropriated from her style. I also bought her book, "Stitched Raw Edge Applique". It was a fun project and I will do more- hopefully all my own designs.

Spinners - I chose to make this quilt for a color challenge with my local guild. I was to use bright yellow with any other color I wanted added. I was attracted to the pattern because buttons were used in the center of each pinwheel. I added those after the picture was taken. It hangs in my home now.

A Glimpse of the Secret Garden - I saw a picture of a basketweave-type fence and this hidden garden just leapt into my mind. Pattern is available through my Etsy shop.

Elizabeth's Quilt - This is a queen-size bed quilt made as a gift. Quilting it reminded me why I don't like making bed quilts.

Fireflies at Sunset - This started in a "Convergence" class with Ricky Tims; I decided to finish and quilt it once I got home. The gold quilting shows the fireflies flitting about.

Sunset and Evening Star II - My imagined (and romanticized) view out an office window at dusk. I wanted to see if I could complete a very large quilt. It now hangs in my office, so I have a "window" office (though it's always sunset outside).

It's Raining Cats and Dogs - This quilt is in the shape of an umbrella, with silver "rain" slanting across the surface and crystal "raindrops" dripping off the bottom edge of the umbrella. No fabric is used twice.

Halloween Round Robin - This is a close up of one of the spiders. They were made with covered button that I made. The legs were machine embroidered. first couching the sparkly thread then using a decorative stitch on top to make the legs look hairy.

Halloween Round Robin - The center block is from the pattern Haunted Hill by Susan Probst. I added the borders during a Round Robin project with my Applique Society chapter.

Where Redwoods Meet the Ocean - Made for my daugher for college graduation, I used a striped fabric, layered 4 strips stack and whack style and cut 4 identical triangles. I sewed together to form 9", 6", an 3" blocks. The idea came from a quilt design by Kaffe Fassett, however his method did not stack and whack, just used various striped tickings. I thought it would be fun to try....Colors were wonderful as she attends college where the redwoods meet the ocean as represented in the colors of the quilt.

David's Artwork - Ricky Tim's resist technique in episode #605 was the inspiration for this quilt. My son and I each did a square and then I added the weaving piece he did in his school art class.

Wedding Star - This is a paper pieced lone star with each diamond having 9 different pieces of fabric. No two diamonds were alike. It was given as a wedding gift to my dear friends in New Zealand who were married on 9-9-09...the reason for each diamond having 9 sections.
