Thrift Store purchase
Name of Maker: Center unknown, boarders by Donna toback
Thrift Store purchase - The hand pieced top was found by Cyndi at a thrift Shop in Naples Florida, for $3.00. I made it into a quilt for her along with some fabric I bought on-line that went together with the green and pink in the center. It is about 76 x 84 or so. I hope she enjoys it. See my profile for the border and corner photo.
Baby Molly's Nursery Rhyme Quilt
Name of Maker: Nancy Parker
Baby Molly's Nursery Rhyme Quilt - My grand neice and nephew, little Molly and twin brother Luke were born 3 month premature - tiny, tiny babies with a long stay in the hospital. I used 4 different pink fabrics highlighting the nursery rhymes on toile in the four center squares which I outlined with the darker of the fabrics. Baby Evie's Crib Quilt - Nine Patch on Diagonal made entirely from scraps from my stash. Waited until the baby was born to put the setting triangles on the quilt since the parents choose to be surprised. Presented it at the baby shower held two weeks after the baby came.
Jenny's Quilt
Name of Maker: Nancy Parker

Patriotic Diagonal Nine Patch
Name of Maker: Nancy Parker
Patriotic Diagonal Nine Patch - This quilt had to be made using Citizen Support for Americas Military (Citizen SAM) specifications for gurney or stretcher quilts. These quilts are sent to military installations overseas and given to critically injured American soldiers either being transported to overseas military hospitals or being transported back to the states via troup carrier planes. These planes used to transport the troops have little airconditioning and the warmth from these quilts not only provides comfort to the injured but also gives them something more cheerful than the dull military blanket. Anyone can go to the Citizen SAM web page and look at the various projects all designed to given comfort or a bit of cheer to the men and women so graciously indangering their lives to protect our countries freedom. I urge you to take a look at the web page at www.citizensam.org and be sure to look at the feedback sent to them by the doctors and nurses who work in these military hospitals.

Pieceful Nights
Name of Maker: she-quilts
Pieceful Nights - I completed the 12 surrounding blocks as part of the 2008 BOM at my LQS. I then added the medallion center as the pattern suggested. The outer border is one I added to increase the size of the quilt and to give more quilting room. :) There is a lot of mitering here and I love that! I had the top assembled by Feb 2009 but with both kids graduating from high school & college that May, I didn't quilt it until that summer and finished the binding in time for our local show in the fall of 09. I quilted this on my Bernina 200 using Superior Rainbow thread. The borders and setting triangles are free-motion quilted. My first thought was that I'd give this to our son as he graduated from high school in 2009 but he said he didn't want it. : Maybe someone will love it later!! :)

Some fabrics are from my stash and others I bought on our local Shop Hop. I found the luscious chocolate brown fabrics at Prairie Quilts in Oklahoma while passing through.
