Girl Quilt (Minnie Mouse)
Name of Maker: Ann Tilley
Girl Quilt (Minnie Mouse) - It took me over a year after learning how to quilt, to make another quilt all on my own, aka getting the free time to do it! This is it, and it was so much fun to get back into it! I went totally girly and picked as much pink fabrics as I wanted. The purple is a fuzzy novelty fabric and the Minnie Mouse came from an old bed sheet, which is used for the backing fabric as well.
Crab Soup
Name of Maker: Susan Buckwalter Henyon
Crab Soup - This wallhanging was paper pieced for the church fall festival raffle.
Little Girl's Flower Quilt
Name of Maker: Susan Goldstein
Little Girl's Flower Quilt - One of my favorite Simply Quilt Shows was a scrap bag challenge featured Tom Russell. His design showed how to make the type of flowers that are on this quilt.
Dutch Treat
Name of Maker: Penny Webster
Dutch Treat - When my good friend Margreeth from The Netherlands sent me a wonderful selection of blue fabric I chose this pattern, resized it slightly in EQ and added an applique border. I made this quilt using only blue fabrics from her, combined with my white ones. I finally finished the quilt in time to display it in my guild's 2010 show (Clamshell Quilt Guild, Waterford, CT).
Flower Patch
Name of Maker: Penny Webster
Flower Patch - I modified this pattern slightly in EQ to fit our bed size, and had fun choosing the florals. I quilted it myself on my home machine.

"Stars of the Seussery" - Star centers contain embroidered Dr. Seuss characters, to match owner's nursery.
Country Girl
Name of Maker: Jenice Allred
Country Girl - This Quilt is called Country Girl since all country girls are multi-dimensional just like this quilt. I was given some of Ricky Tims' hand dyes so the solid blue is his and it was a gift from Kathy Sampson (Katzz) I used Superior Threads to quilt the quilt which included Razzle Dazzle.
Melanie's Flags
Name of Maker: Susan DeForest
Melanie's Flags - My mom loved to show off the back of the top, because of organized seam pressing. The flag strips are half inch finished width. The stars are machine appliqued. My 5th bed size quilt, 1st time appliqued, and 2nd time sewing machine quilting.
Patriotic eagle quilt
Name of Maker: Nancy Thelen
Patriotic eagle quilt - This is a view of the whole Patiatic Eagle quilt.
Patriotic eagle quilt
Name of Maker: Nancy Thelen
Patriotic eagle quilt - I love strong feelings of pride when I see an eagle and an American flag together. I purchased an eagle kit from Toni Whitney at the International Quilt Show in Chicago. As I was drawing, cutting and placing this eagle on my applique sheet, I knew a wall hanging was not going to do this eagle justice. So when I got my EQ7 upgrade I designed a patriotic background.
Phillips Quilt
Name of Maker: Ann Tilley
Phillips Quilt - Commissioned baby quilt with the one stipulation that it have elephants and a U. of Alabama color theme. I overdyed most of the fabrics with day-old coffee to get a great antique look. There is a quilted 2010 on the upper half and a machine-appliqued "P" on the bottom with quilted "hillips" following it. I was inspired after watching 'Sleepy Hollow' and seeing a fabulous triangle quilt on Johnny Depp's bed!
Bubbles Everywhere
Name of Maker: BjoLiz
Bubbles Everywhere - I made this quilt in less than a week for my niece's 1st born son, Isaac. I used a simple method of the Stack and Whack design. It was quite fun and I love the colors.
Pebble Beach
Name of Maker: BjoLiz
Pebble Beach - This was my first, and so far, only Kaleidoscope quilt. I watched the TV show Quilt in a Day with Elenaor Burns, took notes and had fun creating this little quilt. This was a baby gift to my niece for the birth of her 1st son. I love the way the colors play out and create interesting circles.
Vibrant Roses
Name of Maker: BjoLiz
Vibrant Roses - This quilt was made for my oldest daughter, Carey. I saw a similar quilt on display in the Midlothian, Texas quilt store, Quilts N More. I bought the Santorini fabric by Moda there, went home and made my own version. My daughter is very colorful and vibrant, so this was perfect for her.
Horned Frog Fiesta
Name of Maker: BjoLiz
Horned Frog Fiesta - I made this quilt for my middle daughter, Lindsay. She graduated from TCU and was an Athletic Trainer for a number of years before starting her family. This was inspired by TCU's fantastic 12-0 season in 2009. It was quilted in a variegated thread in an all over design of horned frogs running in a circle that my longarm quilter had designed specifically for this quilt.
Turning Leaf
Name of Maker: BjoLiz
Turning Leaf - I collected interesting fabric from all over - some as far north as South Dakota and then constructed this quilt for our youngest daughter, Kelley. She was a winemaker for E&J Gallo in Livingston CA for awhile and gave it up to come home to Texas and marry her high school sweetheart. The quilt name represents not only some of the batik fabric, but also, one of the wines she made was bottled under the label of "Turning Leaf". The border reminds me of some of the beautiful rows of grapevines in the many vineyards in California.
Kaleido-web
Name of Maker: Shawn Priggel
Kaleido-web - Made for a nephew's high school graduation. The original spiderweb pattern had sashing between the blocks, but I like the kaleidoscope effect you get by putting the blocks next to each other, hence the name.
Black & White Log Cabin
Name of Maker: Jane
Black & White Log Cabin - Black & white materials used with the center block red , so as to indicate the heart of the home. Notice the star layout in the center of the quilt.
