Batiks In Full Effect
Name of Maker: Quilters of the Rock
Batiks In Full Effect - Myself and the "Quilters of the Rock" quilt group made this quilt as a raffle quilt to help raise funds to purchase our very own long arm quilting machine. This proved to be a very beautiful quilt and helped to raise a very nice down payment on our machine. Each of us donated batik fabrics. I came up with the idea for the borders and cornerstones.
Henrietta & Heathclif

Henrietta & Heathclif - This set of wall quilts was inspired by our visit to our freinds home in England. Bear Blocks - I found in my stash a half metre of teddy prints and decided to include them in a quilt with other coloured scrap 9 block squares. Again, I have learnt how to make quicker 9 block squares (strips first then cross cutting) but I have loved every minute of my journey with quilting.
Jigsaw Fun
Name of Maker: Lynnals
Jigsaw Fun - I made this quilt for my grandson when he went into his first bed. He loves wild animals of any kind and when I saw the fabrics I thought this would be a fantastic design for a boy of any age. He absolutely adores it and even thought it is steeming hot at times, still has to wrap himself in it. Gotta love him.
Sunbonnet Sues
Name of Maker: Lynnals
Sunbonnet Sues - This was the very first applique quilt I ever made. I have made great progress in my applique abilities. The fabrics used in this quilt had sat in my stash for up to 15 years and it was an absolute pleasure to start using them, and I actually remembered where I purchased each bit of fabric.
The Wedding Quilt

The Wedding Quilt - My daughter selected this as her wedding quilt, from the book "Great American Quilts 1994," made by Nancy Smith, of N.J. I enlarged the border from the original pattern. My daughter was married in 2003, & I was finally able to present this quilt to her this past October, 2010. I would have gotten it done sooner, but there were 5 grandchildren popping up, requiring baby quilts.
