Love Those South Carolina Peaches!
Name of Maker: Ann Shibut
Love Those South Carolina Peaches! - I wanted to make a replica of my granddaughter's picture using fusing and fabric painting techniques I learned this summer from Lenore Crawford at the AQS Show in Knoxville, TN. I made one of her patterns first to learn how. This is the first time I have duplicated a person's picture in a quilt. I need to get more skin-tone fabrics!

Through the Window
Name of Maker: Jane Anne Ramey
Through the Window - For my younger sister's 50th birthday, I set out to find a pattern and materials that would make her thrilled with her quilt. Thank you TQS for the Episode 710 with Laura Nownes where I found the perfect pattern for the perfect choice. I used Ricky Tim's commercial fabric for the central block fabric and "happened" to have what looks like the same pebble fabric as used in the pattern picture in my stash. A lot of prayer went into this quilt since I wanted her to be pleased with it and she was very happy. God bless Laura and Diana and Ricky.

Starring My Sister
Name of Maker: Eileen Kuhre
Starring My Sister - My sister wanted a quilt for the tall two story wall next to the staircase that would pull together the colors in several rooms visible from that space. This quilt filled the bill and the country look of the appliqued border suited my sister's comfortable, homey personality. Thanks to Kim Diehl for the magazine pattern.

Tribute to my daughter Nina
Name of Maker: Evelyn Al-Misnad
Tribute to my daughter Nina - My 17 year old daughter was killed in a Ford Explorer accident she was thrown out of the vehicle when it rolled she was with friends going on a picnic. It took me 10 long years to make as it was an emotional journey, I used her T-shirts and printed pics of her and her brother. She loved butterflies and purple so the fabrics I used around the shirts and pics were small pieces of many different butterfly fabrics. I still have to do the binding. I had it quilts by a lady named Karen Niemi she quilted butterflies flying all over the quilt. I hope one day to give it to her brother as a keepsake of his sister. I could not throw her clothes so being a quilter it was the only solution. It was hard to put together as its very busy with so many different types of clothes, I hope she likes what I did. I guess it took so long to make as I kept thinking I would find better ways to make it. Also, it was the last thing I could do to keep her memory. I encourage people to do this if they have lost a loved one.
