Templar
Name of Maker: Welshwoman
Templar - I had a number of beautiful lime green fabrics that I longed to use, along with a length of batik that I decided not to use for a Turkish coat I made.... That was the basis for the color scheme. I made one block at a time in the paper piecing method. I began with a design that I had seen by Carol Doak, modified and added lines until I was satisfied.

Flower Fusion - This quilt was made for my daughter when she went to college 2.5 hours away from home. Her dorm room was dull, drab, and depressing. This quilt was the perfect to brighten and cozy up her room and remind her that spring was only a few months away.
Christmas Tumble
Name of Maker: Joyce (MAMA2TNT)
Christmas Tumble - This quilt was a mystery quilt design presented by my guild. I chose red and white for the high contrast. The tumbling gold Christmas trees on the white add a playful touch.
Belle of St. Mary
Name of Maker: Joyce (MAMA2TNT)
Belle of St. Mary - My inspiration for this quilt is the Belle of St. Mary canal boat on the Miami and Erie Canal in St. Mary, Ohio. This is a primitive, shortened version of the actual much longer boat. This quilt was made for a guild challenge of using 1) a curved seam 2) a boat and 3) the color yellow.

The center is a tree of life of children of the world.... it is one of those souvenir towels . I found it in a flea market. It made the absolute perfect center for this quilt. (the mixed fabrics were a bit hard to work with ...took lots of spray starch and careful cutting.
