AUTUMN SPLENDOUR
Name of Maker: Wilma Diana Serrao
AUTUMN SPLENDOUR - Played with the blocks till I found the pleasing setting for the quilt. Fabric for this quilt has been sitting in my stash for a while. I quilted this quilt on my Bernina 830 using the BSR. I never quilted a quilt by machine before and the free motion was a enjoyable experience for me. I love this quilt for its colors and it was completely made on the Bernina 830.

Scrappy Hexagons - This is a pattern I saw in a magazine and liked it so much I had to try it myself. It uses two different sized hexagon shapes, one slightly larger than the other. It is a 'quilt as you go' design, and very easy to do. It was designed by Elsie Morrison.

On The Way To Sun ~ Snow Geese Meet Rainbow
Name of Maker: Katie Gomez
On The Way To Sun ~ Snow Geese Meet Rainbow - Gail Garber taught a class at MQXWest in Oct 2011 and taught the Goose Is Loose. In the class I designed my quilt and then pieced that design using the techniques I learned in class. I had a blast with the triangles and the circle I decided to do for the sun. A little challenging which pushed me into getting it done.

Fabric frenzy
Name of Maker: mc555
Fabric frenzy - After watching show 913 I was keen to use some scraps and made my version of fabric frenzy. I used a rather thick woollen blanket as wadding and found I was unable to hand quilt my preffered method so have done a very bad job of machine quilting. I did not want a UFO so persevered. I call it my practice piece at machine quilting!!!
