The Wedding Gift Quilt
Name of Maker: Lori Hogan
The Wedding Gift Quilt - This quilt, though pictured unfinished, was drawn out free-hand on a piece of Moda Muslin. It was heavily quilted, and the backing was also the binding when squared up and finished! I added a rod pocket and it's now a wall hanging.
Feathered Fronds
Name of Maker: Lori Hogan
Feathered Fronds - This piece started out as a practice piece for stitching feathers. After years of trying to learn how to draw feathers, let alone stitch them, it finally fell into place. I had purchased Ricky Tims "Grand Finale" DVD and by watching and learning from many other great quilters, I finally learned how to do feathers, and now can stitch them without having to draw them out! Great FUN! I was also learning how to play with fabric paints, dyes and pencils. This piece was colored in after it was stitched using Inktense pencils and Dye-na-Flow and Lumiere paints.
Silhouette
Name of Maker: QuiltingYvonne
Silhouette - The background is a 1600 quilt (40 strips, 40" long), made of batiks. The trees were hand drawn and then fused to the top. The quilt is free-motion quilted, including the trees that extend into the border. I wrote a Haiku for the label: Bare black silhouettes... of swaying stems in the wind... Stretching to the sky.

Cat block is from an old Quilters Newsletter magazine. Mug rug for one and only daughter - This is a block called Yappity Yap from an old QN magazine. Fun and quirky, just like my daughter.
Waterlilies
Name of Maker: Ch3ryl
Waterlilies - Mother loves waterlilies so when I saw this waterlily pattern I knew it would make the perfect Mother's Day gift. Eileen Sullivan's foundation pieced patterns look complicated but are very easy to follow. The hardest part was finding the right mixture of pale blue fabrics to get the effect I wanted for the water.
Christmas Tree Quilt

Christmas Tree Quilt - Made this to use at Christmas. During that time took a retreat/class from Cindy Needham to increase machine quilting experience and this quilt had enough open space to practice feathers learned in Cindy's class.
