Loralye2 Feathered Fronds - This piece started out as a practice piece for stitching feathers. After years of trying to learn how to draw feathers, let alone stitch them, it finally fell into place. I had purchased Ricky Tims "Grand Finale" DVD and by watching and learning from many other great quilters, I finally learned how to do feathers, and now can stitch them without having to draw them out! Great FUN! I was also learning how to play with fabric paints, dyes and pencils. This piece was colored in after it was stitched using Inktense pencils and Dye-na-Flow and Lumiere paints.
