Cat show - My son-in-law's mother did the red work many years ago. I had to make up two blocks to complete it. The back of the quilt is finished in a complementing red plaid. The blocks are worked on Muslim.

Flower pots - I needed to make a cot quilt very quickly for Holly, my soon to be born great-niece. This pattern in the Mc Calls magazine looked easy and quick to make. It was made in a week with machine quilting and with machine blanket stitch to secure the flowers.

Sun bonnets for Kristy - Blocks were worked with candle wicking with Sun bonnet design many years ago. I was making this for my daughter but never completed. Finished it for her daughter's fourteenth birthday.
Chicken Little potholder

Chicken Little potholder - I saw this super cute log cabin block converted into a chicken on the Quilting from the Heartland website. I collect chickens for my kitchen and it was such fun making this chicken potholder that I'm going to start looking around for more chicken blocks to turn into potholders!

Iris Garden - This quilt was made as part of a group quilt with Sub-Q Quilters. Each person made a complete quilt from a pool design Desiree Habicht adapted to a quilt section. Each person was instructed to do in their own style and add an element of their choice. Completely fused from hand dyed fabrics and enhanced with painting. My element was the Hummingbird. Bottom of the quilt has hand embroidered and beaded ferns. Stenciled spheres were also added to the top area of the quilt

Kody's Flag - The red/white part of the flag is made using the "5-minute block" from Suzanne McNeill's (d-originals.com) book: "5-Minute Blocks." You can find her on YouTube. It's an awesome method! This is my 2nd quilt, and was made for my 15-yr-old grandson.

Katie's Roses - I made this quilt for my granddaughter's Sweet 16th birthday. The roses, stems and leaves in each block are applique. It is my first quilt.
Sister's Love

Sister's Love - When my brother was informed that his life was ending he asked only that I come to visit, sit on the porch with him and quilt. I pieced the top on my machine, flew down to Atlanta and did just that. Three weeks later I was in a car traveling back to Atlanta for his funeral with my needle and thread to keep me sane during an insame period. The entire piece is hand quilted with much love and respect for a dear man who taken too early from my life.

Night Flight - Flying geese are made from sparkly holiday gift ribbon inserted into layered waves background. My husband thought of adding the subtle "man in the moon" design on the inserted circle moon. White eyelash yarn reminded me of goose down.

Foxy Lady - Flowers are made from satin gift ribbon, trapunto, and machine appligue . Center of flowers are gathered eyelash yarn. Feather hair adornment clip added the foxy touch that gave the quite its name.
