Fairyland
Name of Maker: NA
Fairyland - It’s a delight to handle fabric, to fold and rearrange it, to absorb color and effect by feeling and working with it. The pattern, color and feel of the fabric, the line and structure of the piecing, all interest me. Texture through the heavy use of the quilted line attracts me. Catching light and glimmers of it’s reflection, the interplay between lines and shapes, and sometimes...the element of surprise, is fascinating
Uptown

Devils choice
Name of Maker: sherry
Devils choice - I just Knew I had to applique this distinctive block, but it took me 4 years to find the right materials. Originally, there were to be nine blocks of the same pattern, and I had appliqued 8 of the nine when this setting sneaked into my head and I had to do it. It was very hard to cut those completed blocks in half, but it was worth it! This picture shows the whole thing before quilting, which I did on my home machine - I digitised a pattern from the elements of the design and quilted with my embroidery machine. I think it is perfect!
