Too Many Spikes!!! - Paper foundation pieced with commercial cottons, batiks and my own hand-dyed fabrics. Free motion quilted on an HQ 16 Sit-Down machine with Sulky rayon threads.

Together at Lake Berryessa - This image was created from my own vacation photograph after taking a "Linear Landscape" on-line class from Gloria Loughman. It involved creating my own contoured pattern, a hand painted sky, reverse raw edge appliqué, an analogous colour scheme, and free motion machine quilting. The simplified contour design creates a slightly abstract image. Varying the colour, value, and texture in the fabrics helped to develop depth and perspective.

Tropical Flowers and Sashiko - Applique flowers with some embroidery; leaves behind flowers done in sashiko. Alternating blocks also sashiko.

Fireballs - A strata of curved strips was assembled, more strips, trims and yarns added on top. Then circles were cut out of the quilt top and rearranged. Technique from Dena Crain.
