Stippler Together at Lake Berryessa - This image was created from my own vacation photograph after taking a "Linear Landscape" on-line class from Gloria Loughman. It involved creating my own contoured pattern, a hand painted sky, reverse raw edge appliqué, an analogous colour scheme, and free motion machine quilting. The simplified contour design creates a slightly abstract image. Varying the colour, value, and texture in the fabrics helped to develop depth and perspective.
