Bed Bugs - Based on picture from book and adapted to my own design

?? - I made this quilt for my son's BFF ("best friend forever")'s high school graduation. On to college. What a great kid! These are all batiks in blue, gray and slight green. On the back, I used Ami Simm's Twisted Sisters on a background of blue green batik -- more woodsy theme -- with conversational prints making the blades of the block. I chose fabrics with meaning to the boys -- school buses, soccer, baseball, lacrosse, bikes, travels they took together, etc., and included photos at the bottom.

Judy & Jordan's Quilt - JWS is my grand-son that loves music. The inspiration for this quilt was easy because of the music sheet--gift from my husband sister's that is Dr. in Music. Judy has passed since, she never saw this quilt. This quilt was hand pieced and hand quilted summer 1999. (Quilt Size: 38" x 50")

Clown Fish - This quilt was a result of a quilt class I took with a friend a the LQS. It was fun to play around with this. As you can see I did not do the trditional white srtipes that clown fish really have. The tail and dorsal fin are trapontoed and the side fin 3d stuffed. I free motion quilted seaweed and scales with metalic thread. This was the first and only quilt that has the Ricky Tims binding method. I love the look but I think it takes practice to do it well.

Arlene's Cats - Arlene loves and has many cats, so I had to make her this quilt.

Quilt for Kendra's Baby - Quilt was created from scraps of flannel from quilt and buntings made for my grandson.

Illusion - I bought this pattern when I attended a class taught Carol Bryer Fallart at the Houston Quilt festival. Hopefully you can see the quilting as it is very non traditional. I enjoy experimenting.

John's Quilt - I made this quilt for Johns 80th birthday. I printed pictures on fabric and added them with the panels.

Untitled - I love Kaleidoscope quilts. This one is inspired by the focus fabric, which is a butterlfy print from Jane Sassaman. It is not quilted yet.

Sailling out of the Channel - This depicts a sailboat leaving the channel in a small town in Northern Michigan where I spend many summers.

Night and Day - I love Blue and Yellow and quite enjoyed making this quilt. I used Anita Grossman Solomon's method for the Square-in-a-Square block. It is not quilted yet, but will be done soon.

Rooster and His Chicks - I used Florine's pattern for the central rooster and my own design for the chicken blocks which were inspired by Gwen Marston's chicken quilts. The layout was my own design. Chicken wire fabric and printed chicken fabrics were used to finish this theme quilt.

OOPS! - The nine patch blocks were made with a small group and exchanged over the course of a year. The bright blocks in between were hand dyed with another group but the colors were much different than expected...thus the name OOPS!

A Day at the Park - This was a 'take along' project. I worked on it while waiting in doctor's offices, etc. The owner bought it while her husband was in Iraq and it made her smile, so she calls it her 'Happy Quilt'.

Salsa - This was a mystery quilt project. The quilting includes chili peppers, sizzle suns, suns, and curly cues. It is quilted with gold colored thread.

Jayhawks Forever - I designed this quilt with EQ4 for my son who is a fellow Jayhawk. That is, we both are alums of the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS. I contacted the public relations office of the university and received permission to use the Jayhawk figure in this quilt as a personal gift to my son.
