I made this quilt for my son's BFF ("best friend forever")'s high school graduation. On to college. What a great kid! These are all batiks in blue, gray and slight green. On the back, I used Ami Simm's Twisted Sisters on a background of blue green batik -- more woodsy theme -- with conversational prints making the blades of the block. I chose fabrics with meaning to the boys -- school buses, soccer, baseball, lacrosse, bikes, travels they took together, etc., and included photos at the bottom. |
