Lighthouse on the rocks
Name of Maker: Arlene Kuchcik
Lighthouse on the rocks - Part of the quilt is drawn with colored pencils and part with acrylic paints. I really like the way it turned out. I hung some hanging beads on the bottom to give it some glitz.
Beaded Hibiscus
Name of Maker: Arlene Kuchcik
Beaded Hibiscus - This was one of my first quilts. I didn't like it when appliqued so I color penciled in shading, didn't like it yet, so I painted, still didn't like it, so I seed beaded it. Now it's ok.

Celtic Dreams
Name of Maker: Linda Voltz
Celtic Dreams - I used knot patterns from the book of Kells for the 9 center blocks. I made bias tape and hand sewed them in place. The blocks are also echo quilted. I used various running Celtic knots for all the briars and squares. All of the quilting (over several years) is done by hand.
Foundation Sampler
Name of Maker: Linda Voltz
Foundation Sampler - The manner in which the quilt is constructed (sashing, borders) is my own design. The blocks are traditional (Pineapple; Lady of the Lake; Crow's Foot; Crown of Thorns; Cross & Crown; Flying Geese; Star & Square and Jack in the Box) and have all been adapted for foundation piecing. I find that the accuracy of my points and the ease of piecing of all those little triangles makes foundation piecing the option for me. There is no formal name to this pattern other than a traditional sampler. All of the colored fabrics are Morris prints, so the center design is a flower and leaves that I drew, based on the Morris style. All of the quilting is free-motion.
Sea and Sand
Name of Maker: Linda Voltz
Sea and Sand - I wanted a completely new combination of blocks to showcase my friend's favorite colors. She loves the beach, so I called the pattern Sea and Sand. It was given to her as a Christmas gift. She has many walls in her bedroom suitable for small hanging pieces & the color and style match her decor.
