Under the Tuscan Sun
Name of Maker: Jeri Wagner
Under the Tuscan Sun - My guild challenged us to make a quilt based on the title of a movie. I was working on New York Beauty blocks at the time. The NYB blocks made a perfect sun. A vinyard fabric made a great "Tuscany." The side borders represent a film strip. Great fun!
American Pride - 911 Remembered
Name of Maker: Jeri Wagner
American Pride - 911 Remembered - During the events following September 11, 2001 many of embroidery digitizers on the net offered free designs. I machine embroidered eagles on small squares of muslin as I sat glued to the TV. When the quilt was finished, it was an emotional release. I love this quilt and it hangs in my longarm studio.
Summer in St. Louis
Name of Maker: Jeri Wagner
Summer in St. Louis - I began my color studies at the top of the colorwheel using the red and orange families of colors. I love paper piecing and was attracted to the New York Beauty quilt in Fons and Porter Love of Quilting Magazine July/August 2004 issue. When I was finished the result was HOT and it was summer in St. Louis also HOT.

Harvest Spice Inspiration
Name of Maker: Joseph Stroman
Harvest Spice Inspiration - This quilt is made from my practice blocks for the Harvest Spice Quilt. When my mother heard that I was making a practice quilt, she said "Well, you can give that one to me." So this became her birthday present. The floral designs in the original print fabric were replaced with embroidered crewel designs by Iris Lee. I am absolutely thrilled with this quilt & am sure she will be too when she sees it.

Leaf Quilt 1977 - 2003
Name of Maker: T lehmann
Leaf Quilt 1977 - 2003 - I started this quilt in 1977 from a pattern that I cut out of a magazine, most likely McCall's. This was a UFO until 2003. In the mean time the patten from the magazine was discarded. I do know that it was supposed to have red sashing between the blocks of four leaves. I would love to find out the pattern name and get a copy of the pattern, if at all possible, to give credit where credit is due.

Memory Quilt
Name of Maker: Jeanette Villegas
Memory Quilt - This quilt was made to celebrate and remember the family, friends and fellow servicemen of my nephew, John and his wife, Isabell. I made the blocks and then they were sent out to be signed by all those that love them from Texas to California to Germany. Old school buddies who now have children of their own, signed and included painted hand prints of their kids, some wrote Biblical verses, some wished them happiness for their future, and some thanked John for his service to our country. Each was special and expressed a lot of love and respect. All the blocks finally made it back to me and were embroidered. When the quilt was completed it was sent to my Aunt Leona in St. Louis who lovingly hand quilted it. When John was finally out of the Army and he and Isabell returned to the States to make their home here in the city of Tucson, they were given the quilt. I hope he will someday realize all the time and love that went into this quilt and how much he means to all of us. We love you John and Isabell and wish you years of happiness.
