Memory Quilt

Memory Quilt - This quilt was made to celebrate and remember the family, friends and fellow servicemen of my nephew, John and his wife, Isabell. I made the blocks and then they were sent out to be signed by all those that love them from Texas to California to Germany. Old school buddies who now have children of their own, signed and included painted hand prints of their kids, some wrote Biblical verses, some wished them happiness for their future, and some thanked John for his service to our country. Each was special and expressed a lot of love and respect. All the blocks finally made it back to me and were embroidered. When the quilt was completed it was sent to my Aunt Leona in St. Louis who lovingly hand quilted it. When John was finally out of the Army and he and Isabell returned to the States to make their home here in the city of Tucson, they were given the quilt. I hope he will someday realize all the time and love that went into this quilt and how much he means to all of us. We love you John and Isabell and wish you years of happiness.
