Cesto di Fiori Rhapsody
Name of Maker: Dana Lynch
Cesto di Fiori Rhapsody - This quilt was started in a Rhapsody class taught by Ricky Tims in 2007. I loved the entire process, and Ricky's techniques gave me so much added confidence in my quilting. All the piecing fabrics are Ricky's hand dyeds and the two applique fabrics are batiks. I can't wait to make another one. It is in Ricky's second Rhapsody Companion book, Baskets and Flowers, released in June, 2008.

Saving Lori
Name of Maker: Queenpatty and Shannon Munn
Saving Lori - This quilt came about because my daughter (Shannon) and her friend (Lori) started to make a quilt and ended up cutting the fabric all wrong. Shannon came to me an asked if we could so anything with the fabric. She felt bad- Lori has bought all the fabric and when they messed it up Lori told her just to keep the fabric. So with an eye to her upcomming birthday Shannon and I began to design a quilt using what we had. This is the resulting quilt. Lori had no clue we were doing this so she was really surprised and she loved it.

Cake and Tea
Name of Maker: Kay Mackenzie
Cake and Tea - This small glimpse into someone's parlor was appliquéd by hand, except for the cake, which was fused and then machine-stitched with a narrow zigzag. Perhaps the person about to partake of this afternoon refreshment has gone to get a fork! These are designs from my book Teapots to Appliqué.
