Diamond in the Ruff
Name of Maker: Carolyn Fredrickson
Diamond in the Ruff - This is the 2nd quilt that I have designed. Thinking about it, I only call the ones that I have spent quite a bit of time and thought on as my 'patterns'. I have "put together' some quilts but I don't call them my patterns. This one I made after'Stingray' and made it the correct size to fit the support hanger and I changed the color to green.
The Window Beyond
Name of Maker: Carolyn Fredrickson
The Window Beyond - All the fabric in this quilt I have hand painted. The center painting was not square so I said O.K. you don't need to be square!! and went on with it. This was also made for the Opus6 gallery show. Oregon Fiber Artists, the art quilt group that I belong to, had an art quilt show at Opus6 last September. It was very interesting, we drew one of the largest crowds ever but none of the quilts sold. People just aren't used to Art quilts!! I really didn't know much about them until I joined the art quilt group.

Squirt
Name of Maker: Carolyn Fredrickson
Squirt - I wanted to make an octogon shaped quilt and this is what I came up with. It is hung with a HangYourQuilt.com hanger and a support bracket. I hurried to get this done for a 'Opus6' gallery show in Eugene, OR.This photo was taken before the bead embellishments were put on. I made this one twice, once as a regular pieced pattern and again as a paper pieced pattern. They both came out O.K. I have a large creative drive and even tho I don't know how to quilt properly I am having a great time learning.
Laurie's Sampler
Name of Maker: Lauretta Smith
Laurie's Sampler - This was my first quilt taught by Charlotte Flesher in 1989. She inspired me from the very beginning and her influence continues in every aspect of my quilting today. Quilt damaged in a fire in December, 2001, restored in 2004, thus the reason for 'fair' condition. Daughter Laurie disagrees and says 'quilt is priceless'!
Flowers for Jennifer
Name of Maker: Lauretta Smith
Flowers for Jennifer - Made for my granddaughter, Jennifer celebrating her graduation from college. Jennifer did not know about the quilt until she saw it hanging at the Golden Triangle Quilt Show in Beaumont, TX in January, 2008.
African Harmonic
Name of Maker: Margaret Birchenough
African Harmonic - Made using African print fabrics to see what this type of quilt would look like using only commercial fabrics. Appliqued cheetahs were an afterthought as I felt it lacked focus
Bush Fires
Name of Maker: Margaret Birchenough
Bush Fires - Colours of the dyed fabrics made me think of the bush fires that had swept Australia. Hand quilted with beaded plumes of 'smoke'

Stingray
Name of Maker: Carolyn Fredrickson
Stingray - Poppy, the owner of 'HangYourQuilt.com' came to a quilt group meeting with me and on the way home she challanged me to make a diamond shaped quilt to go with a concept she had been working on. I said that I would try but I didn't know when it would be done as I had no idea of what to do. I really didn't even know how to quilt. The next morning when I woke up my head was dancing with ideas. This one was actually the wrong dimensions and I made another one but this is the one she like best and purchased.
Air Force
Name of Maker: Beverley Linsley
Air Force - I found this pattern in a quilting magazine; however, for the life of me I can't remember which one. I appliqued the Air Force Logo in the middle of the star. Since my Son is a CMSgt in the USAF I thought he would love the design - HE DID! I believe the size was 45x45 however it may be a little smaller. I am unable to located my notes on this quilt, so I have to give an estimate on the quilt size.
Southern Stars
Name of Maker: Beverley Linsley
Southern Stars - I can't remember just where I located this pattern, however, I though it was just beautiful with the added Pinwheel blocks in the 1st border. It is a striking wallhanging. I made this for my Son and his wife. They are a military family and the stars suited them well. On the label I wrote "Stiched by my hands with Love from my Heart - Mom".
Another Time
Name of Maker: Beverley Linsley
Another Time - Picked this pattern up at Hancock Fabrics. I loved the vintage appeal and colors the yellow/blue.
1st Anniversary
Name of Maker: Beverley Linsley
1st Anniversary - First Wedding Anniversary quilt for my beautiful daughter Jennifer and Son-In-Law. Being a newbie quilter back in 2006, I found instructions for the block on Block Central website. When putting the block together on my design board, I changed the direction of the block pieces. To me it looked more appealing. I have learned so much since 2006, I know I would have used more colors in the quilt; however, for my second quilt, I felt proud and giving it away was the best part. Quilt was presented to my daughter and son-in-law in Satellite Beach, FL while we were visiting my oldest Son. They loved the quilt and that is all that mattered to me. Beverley Linsley
Avon Inspiration
Name of Maker: Beverley Linsley
Avon Inspiration - I was inspired by a Avon Catalog to make this quilt. There was a photograph of a model wearing a beautil shear dress in all colors of blues and greens. To me it was the most beautiful color combination I have every seen. This was my first quilt and not having the knowledge regarding different types of blocks, I found instructions on the internet for this faux log cabin block. Beverley Linsley
