The Underwater World - Applique and reverse applique. Really fun. The appliqued fern is from the backing fabric.

Nature's Sweet Kiss - An purple Easter quilt with lilies, bunny and Easter egg.

Houses for Sale - I fashioned this quilt from traditional log cabin and house blocks. Since it was to be auctioned at a Realtor charity auction, I added the "for sale" signs. It raised almost $1000.

Medallion Sampler Quilt - A scrappy quilt using civil war reproductions or look like reproductions made in a class at Quilter's Haven, Rosemount, MN. Hand quilted by Patce. Batting is wool and a so easy to quilt.

Paper Pieced Pineapple - All paper pieced!!

Bright Baby Blocks - The fabric spoke for itself in this simple design for a baby quilt. It was quilted for a charity auction and brought almost $500.

Paisley and Plaid - This is one of the first quilts that I completed--and not an easy one! It is still one of my favorites using lots of plaids and backed in paisley.

Framed Medallion - This quilt is the result of 2, 3-day classes with Harriet Hargrave at Quilting in the Desert, in January 2008 (Precision Piecing and Heirloom Machine Quilting). I modified both the piecing and the quilting patterns a bit, just because I wanted to. I can't tell you how much I learned in those 2 classes! For someone drawn to jewel tone fabrics, this quilt with no jewel tones is now my favorite quilt. It has led to many more trips to the fabric store to build the muted-tone portion of my stash!

Blended Wall Hanging

Fassett Inspired Tablerunner - I purchased a new picture to hang above my kitchen table. As I wanted a table runner that brought out the colors in the picture, I combined various sized pinwheels in colors inspired by the picture. Here is the result.

My Crazy Quilt - A traditional foundation pieced crazy quilt utilizing discontinued drapery samples and backed with velveteen. Since I don't do much hand work, the embelished designs are all done by machine.

Baby Quilt for a Colleague - I made the top at our guild's quilt camp weekend, my first since joining the guild (not my last, for sure). Being one of those who usually ends up doing things the hard way, I wasn't satisfied with a typical nine-patch layout. Fidgeting with the color placement took far longer than I intended, but I think it adds interest. My roommate for the weekend found the perfect border and backing fabric at the area's local quilt shop. I was so excited and grabbing bolts of fabric at this new-for-me shop, I would have missed this perfect fabric just a foot or so away from me! After my fabulous first time at quilt camp, I got to practice my free motion quilting. The "mindful meandering" quilting design in the borders was from the book of the same name by Laura Lee Fritz. Unfortunately, I had saved and cropped a picture of the just the ducks from the internet without having gotten any information about them. Therefore, I have no idea who designed them. I'm sorry for the lack of credit to whomever you are!!! If anyone knows, please let me know, so I can properly credit this person.

When Pigs Fly - This is the only quilt that I have made on commission (a very large donation to a charity that I support). It was a real work of love as it is very, very large for a king sized bed--with appliqed flying pigs in velveteen.

A Thing of Beauty - A wall hanging made of commercial batiks and machine quilted. Still one of my favorite quilts.
