Fishing Sisters - Art quilt of three sisters sitting on a pier fishing and relaxing, includes underwater view. Uses brights/batiks; raw edge machine appliqued on a home sewing machine.

Ann's Quilt - This quilt was made for my brother in law and his wife Ann, who is one of my best friends. I always knew I would make them one for their wedding. This quilt has Ann's favorite colors light to dark peach, hand appliqued and hand quilted. It was a joy to work on

Friends #1 - This is one of three sampler quilts done for me when the internet experience was very new to me. I found these blocks when my husband and I were moving into our vacation home in NC. I put them together in three quilts and machine quilted them on my long arm machine. They hang proudly in our new home!

Hollow Cube Sampler - I had so much fun playing with inserting hollow cubes in my One Block Wonder quilts, I had to make this little wall hanging. I experimented with the facing-type edge here; challenging, but I am pleased with it.

Shae's I Spy - I made this quilt for my niece - all in girly I Spy type fabrics!

Cat's Cradle - My grandmother hand-pieced this quilt in the 40's or 50's and I hand-quilted in about 10 years ago.

The Scottish Beard Pullers - The technique for the stars was learned in a Gail Garber class in Sisters, OR. The center motif is an embrodiered piece purchased during a 3 month stay in Scotland. My son really wanted something unique using this piece.

Midnight in the Garden of Funky Monkey - Sock monkey fabric was used as the challenge fabric.

Suppertime at the Pond - Challenge fabric of small dragonflies used to create original challenge design.

Opening a New Box of Crayons - This technique was learned in a class given by Cara Gulati in Sisters, OR.

The Yellow Quilt - My first baby quilt!! For Sara's first baby. The first quilt I've ever made for someone. Her baby room is yellow with bees. It's 40"x40". Sara's baby was due in September, but the shower was the end of July. Good thing I got it done then because she had to have the baby 4 days later!!

Making Beautiful Music Together - Wedding gift for niece and her hubby. They are both musicians, thus the french horn and euphonium depicted in the quilt. The converged curves are meant to suggest the movement of music, thus the title "Making Beautiful Music Together". Those words are also stitched onto the banner at the bottom. The stylized notes are from the music they used for their recessional; I only did one measure, as the first 6 measures are the same - AND I only had so much room *_*

St. Louis Stars - I was in a block exchange of a different style. Each participant picked the block and colors that the others would make for her. I requested navy, gold and beige. I found the setting in the book Sensational Settings. My friend Kathy, brought the exchange idea with her when she moved from St. Louis, hence the name. I made the center 2 blocks.

Ribbon Flower Baskets - I get so many compliments on this little quilt that hangs in my foyer. The picture does not do it justice. It is totally ribbon embroidered by hand.
