Willehm's Bear Quilt - As Paddington Bear was the baby "theme" for my grandson, I found some PB coloring pages online, printed them out, copied onto fabric and embroidered 12 blocks. Then added alternate blocks and sashing.

Beadazzled - Raw edge applique on pieced background. Free motion quilted using metallic and glitter threads and then heavily hand beaded. Assymetrical multiple borders.

The Great Pumpin Patch - I wanted a fall quilt to hang and found this pattern at a local quilt show. Finding all the orange fabrics was a challenge! Loved making it!

Gary's Quilt - I made this quilt for my husband Gary's 72nd birthday, in June of this year. The idea came to me when I found the Marine fabric at a quilt show. Gary was in the Marines for 3 years. I copied his Marine graduation picture and ironed it onto the label. Then I traced our 6 grandchildren's right hands, on to muslin and appliqued them in a circle around the label . This quilt was a labor of love.

J'Lynn's Quilt - Made completely of leftover fabrics from other quilts, for my sister's first great-grandson. I used this quilt to practice my handquilting techniques learned from the book "The Perfect Stitch". It took me a long time to complete, not only because of the amount of handquilting. I had a difficult time choosing my quilting designs after the baby's name, birthdate, ABC's and 123's. I was inspired by old fashioned needlepoint samplers. I finally chose coloring book elephants and one giraffe--designs that most would embroider instead of quilting.

Midnight Sun and Splendor - Made with fabrics from series named “Luminosity”, by Paula Nadelstern. The blocks in the quilt design are called Puzzle Blocks. When sewing the blocks together, the position of the different ‘fussy cut’ fabrics in the series can change the whole appearance of the design. I added a Robert Kaufman “Imperial” fabric which would remind me of the Aurora Borealis for the border. Enjoy, Diane Lochala

For the Love of Kamon - The 12 main blocks are based on a Japanese family crest called Kamon. The characters in the four corners are Chinese for Love - hence 'For the Love of Kamon'.

Cross Roads - Mystery Quilt Retreat No:5. These are not my usual colours but I just love this quilt. So its mine

Jemma Mary - I usually dont keep the Mystery Quilts from our retreats, so when I choose fabrics, I always choose the recipients favourite colours. Glynis nursed her husband, (my cousin) through his various illnesses associated with his MS condition. You do what you have to do when someone is ill, but I thought it was time she had something just for herself.

Baz's Little Arrows - Little Arrows was designed for our Mystery Quilt Retreat in 2002 by Gillian Williams, Melton Vic Australia. This is the 2nd time I have done this pattern. My son was about 15 when I started so I presented it to him on his 21st birthday in August 2008

California Memories - The California state bird is quail (I'm originally from CA) and I like wine so the center of the original quilt looked like it would make a great table topper.

Spring Rings - This wall hanging was from a class in my LQS for Rings That Bind; a different technique on the wedding ring pattern.

Be My Valentine - This was my first attempt at a chenille project, which I made a bit smaller than the original design. I downsized the heart and designed a pillow using the scraps

Oh Christmas Tree! - I liked the Ragtime Heart chenille quilt so much, I thought the idea would work for a Christmas tree too. I figured out the size tree I would need and designed the quilt.

Blair's Quilt - This quilt was done for my cousin's daughter, Blair. The pattern was not well-defined and very difficult to figure out. This was machine-quilted and machine-pieced. It's the only one of my quilts I've ever machine-quilted.

Mom's Quilt - Appliqued Dresden Plate lap-size quilt (64-inch square), hand-pieced and hand-quilted. I made this quilt for my mother in appreciation for all her love and support. Many years ago while looking at quilt books with me, she said she'd always wanted a Dresden Plate Quilt. I finally got one done for her.
