Design Source - Description | Made completely of leftover fabrics from other quilts, for my sister's first great-grandson. I used this quilt to practice my handquilting techniques learned from the book "The Perfect Stitch". It took me a long time to complete, not only because of the amount of handquilting. I had a difficult time choosing my quilting designs after the baby's name, birthdate, ABC's and 123's. I was inspired by old fashioned needlepoint samplers. I finally chose coloring book elephants and one giraffe--designs that most would embroider instead of quilting. |
