Baby Quilt
Name of Maker: Jean Sheeler
Baby Quilt - This friend is due 2 weeks after the other one. So a quick 6 inch square quilt was in order. She knows that it is a boy, so I was able to incorporate a lot of blue. this was made entirely from my stash.
Earthy Baby Bargello
Name of Maker: Jean Sheeler
Earthy Baby Bargello - My friend is expecting her first child and decided not to find out the sex of the child. She is currently drawn to the colour blue, so I included it along with her favourite earthy tones. All fabric is from my stash, excepting the border.
Un-named
Name of Maker: Sandy Stephens
Un-named - Classic Storm at Sea Pattern. Free Motion quilted on Pfaff Grand Quilter and Inspira Frame. I love the illusion of the circles and stars, but didn't realise that there were over 800 points to match until I started putting it together!
Seaside Stitches
Name of Maker: Sandy Shammas
Seaside Stitches - This company is no longer in business and I would love to be able to find additional patterns in order to teach this class. It is foundation pieced but using the freezer paper method has taken the yuk out of it. No paper to peel!
Purple Pockets
Name of Maker: karabu
Purple Pockets - The purple pockets are 5 inches square, the yellow and green blocks are 10 inches, and the finished size is 36 inches. I made it for my kiddo, and she enjoys it more that I'd hoped. She has small hard plastic toys she always wants to sleep with, but they get lost in the bed. Now they get tucked into their pocket for the night right next to her, and can be found again in the morning! Yea!
Just Dance
Name of Maker: Renee Fleuranges-Valdes
Just Dance - I took a workshop based on Anna Faustino's Weaving technique. I love the way the color's work off of each other. I then did some thread play on the three women and appliqued them on the woven background. I outline quilted the women and stitched in the ditch between the woven edges. Tulle is used in this technique over the woven fabric, before the applique is added to secure all the raw edges.
Phenonmenal Woman
Name of Maker: Renee Fleuranges-Valdes
Phenonmenal Woman - I was struck by the artist work and the hair. I modified the women to make it more 'me' and more importantly, more my sister, as I knew I would make it for her. It is done completely by machine.
Slideshow
Name of Maker: JaniceJ
Slideshow - My granddaughter Sharon made this quilt with Grandma's help. We started it about a year ago and finished it just this week. Sharon pieced the quilt together and used the quilting machine to put patterns in each block. We are very happy with the beautiful colors and patterns!
Daylilies Four Ways
Name of Maker: Robin Gausebeck
Daylilies Four Ways - A photo of daylilies in my garden was the inspiration of this quilt, which reconstructs the image using 4 different techniques - (1) printing the image on fabric, (2) fusible applique (3) simple machine applique and embellishment and (4) machine piecing. Each section was constructed separately, then the four were trimmed and squared and sewn together using a large zigzag stitch. The separating sashing was sewn on last.
Tumbling Pansies
Name of Maker: Carolyn Doss
Tumbling Pansies - This is a quilt I made for my mother-in-law...she is always cold so this Christmas I gave her what better gift then warmth. A friend at quilt class explained the method for making the block and the results are what you see.
Tony's Quilt
Name of Maker: Eric Sciotto
Tony's Quilt - I wanted to try this "swirl" block situation, so I made my cat, Tony, his own little quilt...it now sits on an ottoman on which he likes to sleep.
Christmas Pinwheel Pillow
Name of Maker: Eric Sciotto
Christmas Pinwheel Pillow - This was one of my first attempts at making Holiday Pillows. These, too, became profitable for me for a little bit.... I even decided to make a stock of them well before Christmas one year, but realized I'm way too impulsive to pull that off.... so I stopped. I work a lot better under pressure, and the holidays should be limited to the holidays. Hard for me to work with Christmas fabrics in July.

John 3:16 - I made this quilt for a very, very special friend. She is an angel on earth and this was a thank you gift for her.
Celebration Sampler
Name of Maker: JANBLOCK
Celebration Sampler - This quilt was made as a block of the month put on by my local quilt shop. It took me all of 2008 and I finished the quilting in 2009. Each block is either all applique, just block, or a combination of both. I really like the combination of block and applique. I modified the quilt pattern some by cutting the amount of blocks. I didn't want a large quilt. When I completed the quilt with most of the quilting done, I noticed that it was way to long for our queen size bed and just wide enough. So I added some side strips - in the quilt as you go method. Luckily I had enough fabric. My son and his wife now own the quilt and loots great on their bed.
