Room With A View - My local quilt guild challenged us to make a quilt with black fabric, white fabric, and one other fabric. I wanted to make a quilt which would remind me of the view out our window in NH on a winter morning at sunrise. The black represents all of the trees, the white represents the snow sparkling on the trees, and the pink, is of course, the beautiful color of the sunrise.

Tatters - This was one of my first quilts. It is quilted by hand - I didn't know until later that one could not hand quilt a quilt with 8-ounce batting. It has been well loved over the years - it is badly worn as you can see on the edges - the interior is very worn as well. It is very cozy and warm and I can't bear to make a dog quilt out of it. It is in our RV and goes everywhere we go.

"My Life" - I used purple flowers from the Vintage Violets fabric collection for this quilt that depicts my life. Yellow Brick Road represents the road I have travelled thus far. The purple colors represent the passion for life. The flowers represent the notion of taking time to smell flowers. I did loopy free-motion quilting and that represents the ups-and-downs of my life, mostly of my last few years in which I have had to deal with colon cancer and a recurrence in my lung. This is my favorite quilt that I have made because it represents "my life".

Civil War Repro Wallhanging - Mini quilt, about 24" x 24" square with traditional corn and beans blocks. This was my "therapy" quilt that I made while I was recuperating from cancer surgery in 2005 and dealing with the diagnosis of colon cancer.

Britt Family Keepsake Quilt - Given to my husband's mom on her 82nd birthday. This quilt was signed by all of her children, in-law children, and grandchildren then the names were hand embroidered for a family keepsake.

Christopher's Quilt - Memory quilt made for my son Chris with pictures of all of the dogs we've had during his lifetime. Black & white quilt dog-print fabrics with black and white photos of our dogs used. He wanted it to be "thick like a comforter" so I used 2 layers of extra loft batting and hand-tied it.

Quilt for Kaija - Made from a fat quarter pack featuring the Moda's Peek a Boo line. Lettering and other designs are flannel & appliqued, except for Eeyore, which was premade. Reverse side is bright green Minky. Created for my first granddaughter who is due after Thanksgiving.

Sampler Quilt - One of my first completed quilts. I wanted to learn how to do different types of piecing so this was the result. I used 12 of the 20 sampler blocks for my quilt instead of the 20 that were in the book. Piecing and quilting were all done by hand.

Country Garden Quilt - I used the same colors that the author used in her quilt and loved the vintage effect of this quilt. It is one of the quilts I have done that I am most proud of. I had it professionally long-arm quilted with an all-over rose pattern.

Yappity Barkity Woof! - I made this quilt for my granddaughter, who loves pink, and dogs, and dots.

Madeline's Dahlia - I found this dahlia block pattern on the internet, although it's also in EQ6. I modified it a little and made this quilt for my granddaughter for Christmas. It's a traditional dahlia in the center of a cream background with two borders that repeat a couple of fabrics in the flower. It was my first attempt to quilt on my home machine, and it could have been better done on a commercial long arm machine. However, that's how we learn, so I'm happy with the end results.

It's Spring again - I love to paint with fabric. Much of my fabric if full of holes where I have cut to get just the right shading. If you look closely, the tip of one of the leaves is dimentional and the flowers have beads in the center.
