Mystery Quilt
Name of Maker: Me, Alice Gibson
Mystery Quilt - This was my first quilt - started in Alamo Palms, Alamo, Texas, January 2004. Stella Regan was our teacher. An excellent teacher. As a "mystery quilt" it was all a "mystery" for me. I sure learned a lot on this first venture and I'm happy with the result. I quilted by machine - just "stitch in the ditch".

Crazy Nine Patch
Name of Maker: Bernell Lacour
Crazy Nine Patch - This black & white with a touch of red quilt was made as a wedding gift for a relative. It was fun to make. The quilting design is circles, large & small, because most of the fabrics reminded me of water bubbles. It is engraved with the name of the birde & groom along with the wedding date.
What would I do without you?
Name of Maker: Hippie Chic
What would I do without you? - I made this quilt for my best friend of 30 years. I did all of the hand work and printed out pictures of us through the years. I have yet to quilt it because I am so afraid that I will ruin it. I need to get over and quilt because I know she wants it.
Pina Colorada
Name of Maker: QMJudy
Pina Colorada - When I got married 10 years ago, my Bee gave me a shower - and what else do quilting friends give you except fabric? I counted 121 different fabrics. I had to add some lights, of course, but made this Pineapple variation and laid it out like Shelly Burge did.
Welsh Wonder
Name of Maker: Nanette Herbst
Welsh Wonder - I have been captivated by Welsh quilts since seeing an aritcle about Marjorie Horton. After seeing her on Simply Quilts I knew a Welsh wholecloth quilt was in my future. I collected any information I could on Wholecloth quilting and quilting traditions in Britain. I put together a slide show and lecture for my local guild on quilting history in Great Britain. I made this quilt for that lecture. The quilt is made out of White Cotten Sateen. I machine quilted it on my Bernina QE150. This was my first attempt at machine quilting a large quilt. The quilt is 80"x80". It is hard for a picture to do a wholecloth any justice but I hope you can pick out some of the design.
