Hawaian seas bargello - The colours of this quilt represent the colour of the sea round Hawaii. The first time I had ever seen turquoise and teal coloured sea. The sea is very grey and dark around uk.

Pam's Round Robin - My firsy ever quilt, a round robin by Potters Patchers a group meeting in Wokingham, UK.

Paintbox - I pieced all of the blocks by hand, mostly while I was in Denver this summer. I machine pieced the blocks and sashing, and then I machine quilted the top.

Heartland - I was inspired to make this quilt while I was traveling by plane to Colorado. As I flew over the heart of the country and was mesmerized by the patchwork quality and the crop circles of the farmland, I pictured using batik fabric and this crazy curve pattern. I bought most of the fabric in Denver this past summer, and then I picked out the backing and binding fabric in Franklin, TN. The curved piecing wasn't as tricky as I anticipated. I quilted it using my walking foot and a curvy line pattern using King Tut variegated thread.

Squares on Squares - While I was in Denver over spring break, I purchased the batiks used in this quilt, and I cut the blocks and all of the applique squares in the hotel room. I appliqued all of the blocks by hand and then machine pieced the blocks together when we got home. The quilt is machine quilted.

Green Mountain Stars - I pieced the top in 2007 over a number of months. It is going to be used in our bedroom with our antique oak furniture. This quilt challenged me. I struggled with the border, but I finally conquered it and took it to my long-arm quilter. She called me this summer (2008) that it was ready. I put the binding on the next day. I love it.

Baker's Dozen - This quilt was started the day that my second grandson was born. I had the plan in my head and the pieces cut and ready for travel so that I could work on it while we were in the hotel in Daphne. It took a month or so for me to applique all of the rectangles, and I discovered that working on black is a challenge. I need a new sewing lamp in the family room!

Taplin's Turtles - Taplin's Turtles is named because of the blue/purple turtle batik fabric on the back and the some of the blocks. I knew I wanted to make a bright, happy quilt but not the traditional baby quilt. This one is a bit bigger than many baby quilts, but I hope that he will be able to use it through his toddler years.

Sunrise - The "sun" should be in the upper right corner, but I can't seem to make the photo rotate. My first attempt with 1 1/2" squares to make something of beauty. This little quilt sat around for quite some time before I figured out how to finish it, by inserting a very small border of the colored fabrics used in the quilt, then using the black outer border to make all the colors POP. My little experiment went from just that to a small quilt I proudly hang in my quilt room.

Rainbow Paths - I made this top years ago, without the red border, but never quilted it. I bought the red fabric years later and it wound up as the border and I think it makes the quilt, which is quilted in a large stipple with variegated thread.

Feathering my Nest - I have always wanted to make a two color quilt. I liked feathered stars and learned how to draft them for this quilt. I machined quilted free form feathers in the background on my Pfaff. It has a 7" throat so that was a chalenge since it is a large quilt.

Stars in my Garden - I saw this quilt at Las Colchas Quilt Shop and wanted to make it. I liked using wool for the applique and I'm a fan of stars.

Sunflowers - This came from a 2 color applique quilt pattern from Nancy Lee Chong of Pacific Rim Quilt Co. I wanted to try in in 4 colors.

Navaho Quilt - Just a product of playing around on Quilt Pro and using stash fabrics

Thomas the Tank - The fabric shop packed a 1gallon ziploc bag with as many scraps and samples they could and sold it for $5! I made this quilt, a pillow, and another drag around with just one bag. Mikey loves his Thomas!

Mindy & Brent's Wedding Ring - Wedding gift to my SIL and her husband - contains wedding photos, signatures, and well wishes from the entire family.

Sarah's quilt - Only my second quilt, made special for my little girl's first big girl bed, but I made it too small - oops ;-)
