Grandfather's Log Cabin - Made for Grandfather to celebrate his 78th birthday. We have had an exceptionally cold winter in Brisbane this year.

Lalani's Tornado Garden - This kaleidoscope quilt was fun to make. The quilt includes 90 hexagons and 921 seams. Enjoy looking at the tornado of flowers!

Our First Bargello - I finished my first quilt in 2004. It took 40 hours to sew.

Maynard the Monkey - When one of our Quilters by the Sea guild members became pregnant, we immediately started planning a baby shower. Daisy is from Costa Rica so she painted a monkey tree on the nursery wall. I made Maynard the Monkey to bring a smile to her new baby's face.

Five Years of Tumbling Blocks - My first and only handmade quilt from start to finish. I had lots of scrap fabrics in jewel tones and wanted to try English Paper Piecing. I vowed to do it all by hand - piecing, quilting and binding. I learned a lot on this quilt, but only worked on it periodically over five years while waiting at school activities, doctors appointments and traveling. I also learned that I prefer machine assembly and quilting, but like having something to take with me.

Yikes My Stripes are Draggin' - My daughter drew the dragon in high school and I turned it into a quilt :)

Tumbling Columns - Stack-n-Whack Quilt made from the ugliest fabric in the discount pile, a design of flower-twined architectural columns. An experiment that worked.

Red and White Kaleidoscope

Feel the Rythmn!! - This was a Guild challenge using only black and white with the red fabric they provided. No gray!! I made it for my son who is a drummer.

My Chantelle - Designed by Ricky, sewn at his 'caveman quilting' workshop approx 1988, using fabric hand dyed by myself. It is a favourite of mine.

Amelia's Fairies - made for my 3 year old grand daughter who was in the ' must be pink with fairies' phrase. my own design, very easy to do.

Katie's College Graduation - I made this quilt out of my daughter's old t-shirts as a college graduation present for her.

Avalon - Colours flow in and out of each other hinting at the depth of the forest or lake and the light filtering through the threes or waters surface.

Machine Lace 1 - Lace, or fabric made of threads on water soluble fabric is beaded onto one quilted sandwich layered atop another for a glistening play of texture.

Sewing Room Sampler - I wanted to learn different blocks so I took a beginner class based on the book "Start Quilting with Alex Anderson". The various fabric prints have sewing notions, so it hangs in my sewing room!
